The candidate for the City of the Sun, Pedro Sosa, said that the list of his training "meets the street" with the addition of nine independents who "enrich the project by opening it to the public and to which they will contribute experience , ideas, commitment and enthusiasm ".
The candidacy also respects the same percentages of population between urban centers and county councils, so that 36% of its members are linked to different towns of Lorca
The candidate for the Mayor's office of Lorca for Left United Greens of Lorca, Pedro Sosa, has presented today the list with which this formation will attend the municipal elections of May 26 and was approved yesterday by acclamation within its assembly of militants.
Sosa explained that the candidacy of IU is "a true reflection of Lorca society" and thanked the "extraordinary generosity" of many members of his organization that "have taken a step to the side" so that they have integrated into it involved neighbors in social movements and in important collective areas.
"We wanted to merge with the street and we have achieved it".
Proof of this is the presence of nine independents "who enrich the project by opening it to the public and to which they will contribute experience, ideas, commitment and enthusiasm," said Sosa.
The headliner of IU has been especially proud that the list respects the same percentages of population between urban centers and councils that the municipality has, affected by a large geographical dispersion.
For this reason, 36% of its members are linked to towns such as La Paca, Campillo, Zarzadilla de Totana, Purias, Tercia, Rio, Cazalla or La Hoya.
The most popular neighborhoods also have a strong presence, with candidates from San Cristóbal, La Viña, San José, San Diego, Apolonia, San Pedro or Alameda de Cervantes.
The candidature is parity (11 women and 13 men) and has an average age of 42 years, although its members include six children of 31 of whom three, Marta Romera (n ° 10), Chechu Muñoz (n ° 15) and María Pallarés (n ° 16), are part of the Young Left.

"For us it is important that their struggle is represented in our project as a sign of our commitment, their demands are a priority for IU," explained Sosa.
The same happens with Marisa Arcas (n ° 18), treasurer of the Rio residents' association, and one of the priorities of IU will be "to recover the pulse of the neighborhood movement as an engine of the municipality's social development".
The candidacy also has a significant presence of teachers, which reflects the commitment of IU for quality public education.
For this reason, he has Andres Vicente (n ° 9), teacher of Musical Education as well as international social activist;
Fran Sánchez (n ° 17), Professor of Philosophy at the IES Prince of Asturias;
Joaquín Marín (n ° 19), Agricultural Technical Engineer and professor of FP in the CIFEA of Lorca;
