Aguas de Lorca gathers 400 children of the municipality to celebrate the World Water Day (08/04/2019)

Aguas de Lorca, the joint venture that is responsible for water supply and sanitation in the municipality, gathered this morning at the War Theater to 400 schoolchildren to raise awareness about the importance of water.

The activity, framed in the World Water Day, celebrated on March 22, has involved the little ones through a theatrical representation of which they have been participants as improvised actors.

It is an environmental education show where, through science and fun, students have accompanied 'La Gota Viajera' in an adventure with clouds full of water, its discharge in the form of rain, its arrival at the Potabilizing Stations, their distribution to the lorquins faucets and their subsequent treatment in the Wastewater Treatment Plants before returning them to the natural environment.

In the words of Antonio Franco, Water Manager of Lorca, "the main objective has been to support schools in their important work in Environmental Education so that children are aware and value such a scarce resource."

It has also highlighted the fact that "tap water, which comes from the taps of Lorca, is the most controlled food in the world and is subject to more than 30,000 annual tests that ensure its quality."

In short, a day full of humor and learning that aims to be the prelude to what the company is preparing in terms of Communication for Sustainable Development.
