The City of Lorca deploys during this Holy Week an extensive logistical device to respond to the needs of the biblical-passional parades of Holy Week, including its many events.

Within the same emphasizes the importance of the tents installed in different streets near the area through which the processions take place.

These infrastructures have demonstrated their functionality before the appearance of rains, allowing the rich artistic heritage of the different brotherhoods to count on places of refuge that have avoided damage to images and embroideries.

We must remember that 8 tents were installed in the following locations: IES Ramón Arcas, Donantes de Sangre streets, Poeta Carlos Mellado and Presbítero Emilio García, as well as in Santo Domingo, Paso Blanco, San Cristóbal and San Francisco schoolyard.

There will be 29 portable chemical toilets and 8 for people with reduced mobility.

The municipal electricity service, meanwhile, will proceed with the installation of several dozen extraordinary lighting projectors, aimed at improving the lighting of parking areas, streets, church atriums and general reinforcement of lighting for the celebration of processions.

An emergency generator will be located to service the race in the event of a voltage drop or breakdown.

It is a generator of 400 power kaveas, prepared for any eventuality.

It has proceeded, in addition, to make a general review of the public lighting of the urban area and the adjustment of astronomical clocks to avoid any anomaly that may harm our parades of Holy Week.

For these days the Town Hall establishes extraordinary checkpoints belonging to the electrical service of officials, composed of four electricians, to meet the needs of the various events outside working hours, with the rest of the staff remaining pre-empted.

The number of chemical toilets will be 29 ordinary and 8 adapted for people with reduced mobility, installing 2 in the Santa Paula Oval, two and one for people with disabilities in Alameda de Menchirón, Serrallo street and Presbítero Emilio García, two in the La Velica, two in the courtyard of the San Francisco school, two in the street of San Indalecio, two in El Calvario and four in the Alameda de la Constitución, where another one will also be installed for people with disabilities.

In addition, three general toilets and one for people with disabilities will be installed in the Plaza de la Amargura;

as well as two generals and another for people with disabilities in Poeta Carlos Mellado and Musso Valiente streets and in Alameda Ramón y Cajal.

Prior to the installation of the tribunes of Holy Week, the City proceeded to the withdrawal of 24 traffic lights, 50 vertical traffic signs, signs and stores, as well as the replacement of several batteries of underground containers that will re-lend service after the Biblical-Passional Parades.

In this sense it is worth noting that 10,600 locations were also installed for Thursday and Good Friday and 9,528 for Friday of Sorrows and Palm Sunday, in addition to 53 specially designed for people with reduced mobility.

The firm of Avenida Juan Carlos I, as well as the popular secondary school, will count this year with 900 tons of a specific mixture of sand, artificial gravel and gravel to ensure the correct development of the biblical passional parades of Holy Week in Lorca, that horses are one of the most outstanding elements.

The sand that is printed on the asphalt in which the Passional Biblical processions take place is a specific mixture of 3 different limestone substances that have granulometries ranging from 0 to 10 millimeters, and which is exclusively made for this purpose.

The imposition of the gravel covering the paved roads to facilitate the passage of different groups of cavalry will begin to apply late on the night of Serenade Thursday, with the aim of being ready during the early hours of Friday of Dolores.

The works contemplate the sanding of Avenida Juan Carlos I, from Ovalo to Huerto Ruano.

So far, more than fifty professionals have been accredited to be in Carrera.

In addition, we have the confirmation of the Regional Public Television, 7 Region of Murcia, to broadcast live the parade of Good Friday.

The local television Regional TV will broadcast live, and later in deferred, the parades of Friday of Dolores, Palm Sunday, Thursday and Good Friday.

The City Council, as a preventive measure, has reserved a series of portable toilets and tents to respond to any demand that may arise, either due to inclement weather or collective requests.

The Mayor of the city, Fulgencio Gil, has supervised this morning the development of the work that is completed for the implementation of the entire device, along with the Councilor for Culture, Agustín Llamas.
