The police managed to intercept and reduce the subject, who offered great resistance to being surprised.

The events took place at dawn of last Holy Thursday.

The Department of Local Police and Public Safety has reported that, within the preventive / operative actions that are carried out by the Local Police Corps, members of the Local Operational Prevention and Response Unit (UPROL) have arrested a person for the commission of an alleged crime of robbery with violence and intimidation, having stolen the belongings of a person, after having beaten him until he was unconscious.

The events occurred when the agents were performing preventive patrol within the special security device established for Easter in the vicinity of Nogalte street, when about 2:30 am in the morning of last Holy Thursday were required by a citizen to meet a person on the public road, lying on the ground in a state of unconsciousness and bleeding from the mouth.

This individual had witnessed how, after physically assaulting the victim by giving him a strong kick and beating him against the press kiosk located on this street, several effects had been removed.

The agents, after quickly attending the victim and requesting a medical ambulance service, communicated the description and direction of escape of the assailant, being intercepted, after a long chase on foot by other agents who were close to the place, despite the strong resistance shown by the interferer.

Finally the subject was arrested for an alleged crime of robbery with violence and intimidation, and recovering the stolen effects, a mobile phone and a wallet with cash.

This important detention confirms the constant preventive / operative work carried out by the Local Police of Lorca through the different units in which it is organized and through the surveillance devices that are established throughout the municipal area, as well as its coordination with the rest of Security Forces and Bodies.
