The Deputy Speaker of the Popular Party of Lorca, Juan Francisco Martínez, has reported that thanks to the efficient and rigorous management that has been developed in recent years in the City by PP Lorca, the municipality presents today the best economic data of the last 30 years.
The last important novelty that has occurred in this regard took place just a few hours ago when we were informed that there has been a return of € 1,544,725.14, from the European Funds for Regional Development (Feder) for the 2007 period -2013 that Lorca got after a lot of work in the offices by our political formation.
This amount will have a positive and direct effect on the economic health of the coffers of all Lorca, reducing the deficit that previous municipal administrations had caused in the municipal accounts, and will contribute to further reduce the huge debt, which became 105.4 million euros.
It is an excellent news that constitutes a remarkable boost for the economic health of the municipality, alleviates the suffocating economic pressure that we find and that serves as a stimulus to continue with the orderly and serious management of municipal resources.
In fact we have to remember that the economic amount that was originally allocated from the EU for the execution of these projects in our city was € 19,481,956.
However, we managed to get that amount up to € 22,758,331.84, 3.27 million euros more than initially established.
Juan Francisco Martínez has indicated that, according to the latest update carried out by the economic services of the Consistory, the good management developed by the Popular Party in front of the City Council has managed to reduce municipal debt by 67.2 million euros. euros, going from the 105.4 million that the PSOE came to generate against all Lorca to the current 38.12.
The data show that when properly managed, adequate results are obtained.

Martínez Carrasco has indicated that Lorca still have no news from the current Government of the Nation related to maintaining the bonus of 50% of the IBI to those affected by earthquakes, an absolutely incomprehensible situation, a real injustice and shamelessness.
It is absolutely unpresentable that this government has marginalized those affected by earthquakes in each and every one of the numerous Decrees-Law that continuously approves, the majority for matters of less importance.
The victims do not deserve this abuse, and it is clear that Pedro Sánchez has despised Lorca.
We can anticipate that if the next President of the Government is Pablo Casado, Lorca will have the IBI bonus that the PSOE has stolen from us.
The PP, as we have already done, will proceed with the approval of a special package of measures to solve the problems that the current government is causing to Lorca, especially those affected by earthquakes, and that will include a 50% tax refund. of Real Property (IBI), as well as the cancellation of the state part of the interests of the aid to the victims, and the transfer of 3 million euros to Lorca to execute investments in districts, the same ones that, with a coarse and irresponsible, last year they took us away.
