The Mayor and President of the PP, affirms that "if it is to be expelled or treated by professionals, it must be done, but it is evident that it can not return to the street"

Fulgencio Gil, Mayor of the City and President of the Popular Party of Lorca, has affirmed before the aggressions carried out by an individual in the afternoon of yesterday in the vicinity of the church of Santo Domingo that no Mayor or any Lorca wants to see individuals like this loose in the streets, neither in Lorca nor in any city in Spain.

It is illogical that subjects of this type are on the street, and in the end we have to always be the mayors of the municipalities where these cases occur and we raise our voices: enough is enough.

We are talking about repeat offenders in these behaviors that can not be left on the street without more.

It is true that it is an isolated event, but I fully understand the social alarm that is generated.

I believe that if it is a person with mental health problems, it should be treated properly, but it would not be responsible if we had to see it on the street again.

Therefore, the most logical thing is to apply the criminal legislation and, where appropriate, the immigration law.

Our legal system has to provide solutions because we do not want this type of characters in the streets, especially when they are also repeat offenders.

If you have to expel them or treat them professionally, it should be done, but on the street it is clear that they can not be there.

Fulgencio Gil has indicated that as soon as he heard the news, he contacted the children of the woman who had to be taken to the hospital after the assault of this intervener, to make himself available to any need presented.

He did the same, in addition, with the young man who managed to reduce and retain the aggressor until the arrival of the police officers, to whom he transferred the gratitude of the people of Lorca for his act of courage, gallantry and civility.
