Then, Martin warned of the illegal clearing of three Lorca beaches, Calnegre, Baño de las Mujeres and Siscal, which are included in the Calnegre and Cabo Cope Regional Park, and which are also part of the Natura 2000 Network, having been designated a Community Importance (SCI).
Its vegetation, which is part of several habitats of community interest, mainly of dune type and sand, was razed with a tractor.
Two weeks later, environmental agents and the Forest Brigade, technicians of the Regional Park and a group of volunteers from the association Naturactúa Lorca, proceeded to the replacement of the vegetation uprooted in the beach of Calnegre.
They used more than 350 seedlings of several species typical of the area, mainly seahorn and sea lilies.
And in addition posters were installed to inform about these species of special interest and to avoid the damages produced by the footsteps.
However, all this has been destroyed again.
