The PSOE requires the creation of a working table between neighbors, company and City Council to improve the coordination of works and claims, among other measures, the extension of Rubén Darío Street, the installation of a single platform in the streets to facilitate accessibility and the arrangement of the residential Mirasol opting for the paving instead of the placement of cobblestone

The candidate for Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has demanded that the plans made by neighbors and merchants for the urban renewal works of Cristo Rey - La Salud be respected.

"They have not waited so many years so, now that they decide to start the works, they do it without respecting the word given to the neighbors and without attending to their needs."

"It is not the first time that we come to the area of ​​La Viña, Cristo Rey and Alfonso X to denounce the discomfort and breaches of commitments in relation to the works of Christ the King," recalled Mateos.

The socialist candidate wanted to put voice to the discomfort of neighbors and merchants for how the works are being managed: "They started late, after leaving this area in oblivion, outside the fields of action between the works of La Viña and Alfonso X "

"The neighbors are very angry and very disappointed, not only for the development of the works but also for the breaches of what they were told at the meetings."

Mateos has denounced that the neighbors "proposed some proposals that were accepted, but that have not been fulfilled as for example in the Residential Mirasol".

"The neighbors, knowing what has happened in other neighborhoods, do not want the installation of paving stones in this square because in other neighborhoods it is assuming leaks and humidity not only with the rains but simply with the passage of time, therefore they prefer to maintain the paved in this square, which is also cheaper, is easier to place and gives fewer problems.

In addition, remembers Mateos, "they were promised that, as has happened in the other neighborhoods with the streets, that they were the only platform and, contrary to what was agreed, they are doing with sidewalks".

Mateos denounced that, in spite of the important investment, the burial of the garbage collection containers is not contemplated, nor is an important issue such as connecting La Viña with the La Salud area through Rubén Darío Street.

In addition, remembers Mateos, "the PP gave his word and agreed to convene a meeting to create a working table between the neighbors, company and City Council to coordinate the work and collect suggestions and complaints from neighbors."

"This table continues without being convened, and once again the works of regeneration of a whole neighborhood are done with their backs to the neighbors, with their backs to those who live here, with their backs to the merchants who also have numerous complaints and with their backs to the that they have to be living and they have to be enjoying and this case suffering the inconveniences of the works and the problems that will appear later ".
