The Civil Guard retrieves about a hundred hairdressing products stolen in a warehouse in the La Torrecilla de Lorca industrial estate (29/04/2019)

The value of the stolen is around 300,000 euros

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation BEAUTY PRODUCTS, a research aimed at clarifying the theft of abundant hairdressing material from a warehouse, located in the industrial estate of the Lorca deputation of La Torrecilla, which has been settled with the detention of a person and with the recovery of products valued at 7,000 euros.

The investigation began after the complaint filed at the Civil Guard Post of Lorca, for the theft in the warehouse of a merchant dedicated to professional hairdressing products, based in Lorca, of more than a hundred products valued in close of 300,000 euros.

Among the objects stolen was specific furniture for beauty salons such as armchairs and head-washing machines, small appliances for the care of hair, hands and nails, as well as personal hygiene products and brand-name cosmetics by the injured company.

The Civil Guard made the corresponding visual inspection of the building, where no signs of force were detected, which led to the suspicion that access to the premises was produced with a false key.

The research work developed below allowed the agents to locate several web pages of second-hand buying and selling companies, which offered products with similar characteristics with a price much lower than the market price.

The Benemérita went to these merchants and located different small appliances mainly hair clippers and manicure devices that coincided with those reported, so they were seized.

Following these interventions, the civil guards identified the person who was after his sale, a man, 45, of Spanish nationality and neighbor of Lorca who, in addition, knew the victim as well as the goods that were stored in the ship of La Torrecilla.

The investigations carried out around the identified person allowed to find out that he had another house in the municipality of Águilas, owned by a relative and unemployed, where it was suspected that he could hide some of the stolen objects.

The examination of the property was positive with the discovery of numerous beauty products that were recovered and returned to their rightful owner.

The value of the effects recovered in the second-hand buying and selling establishments and in the home of Águilas amounts to 7,000 euros.

Sold the objects in small lots to avoid suspicion

According to the investigation, the prisoner had selected several second-hand buying and selling companies in Murcia, Alicante and Almería to sell the small appliances in different lots.

With this modus operandi he would have tried to distract the attention of his buyers and the researchers themselves.

The operation 'BEAUTY PRODUCTS' has culminated with the arrest of a person as alleged perpetrator of robbery with force and with the recovery and return to its rightful owner of part of the stolen products, valued at 7,000 euros.

The arrested, the recovered effects and the diligences instructed have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Lorca (Murcia).
