La Hermandad del Rocío de Lorca invites Lorca to participate on May 18 and 19 in the Rociora de Lorca Pilgrimage that will take place in The Councilor (30/04/2019)

The acts that are part of this procession will be developed during two days, being the same a pilgrimage with overnight stay in the vicinity of the San José park, located in the deputy councilor, and to participate it is necessary to make the registration through 603241634, or email hermandadrociolorca@gmail.com

The Brotherhood of Our Lady of Rocío de Lorca has presented this morning the poster and the acts that are going to be carried out in the city on May 18 and 19 on the occasion of the VI Romería Rociera de Lorca organized by this group and that It will take place in the San José park, located in the councilor's deputation.

The poster, the work of the Lorca Javi Martinez, represents in a pictorial style the Virgen del Rocío framed in a mural of tiles, composition very typical of southern Spain and that can be found in streets and homes, also making reference and extolling a typical crafts of Lorca as is the pottery.

In terms of colors, white and blue stand out, colors highly linked to our city, and the color of albero, in allusion to the path that pilgrims travel every year?

to meet the White Dove.

We can also find the figure of the Virgin surrounded by flowers, alluding to spring and May.

In the lower part, on color albero, stands a silhouette that represents the symbol of our city: the Castle of Lorca with its imposing towers: the Alfonsina and the Espolón.

We can also see in this silhouette a rider and an Amazon, a drawing that represents the love we have in our city for the horse world.

And, of course, the path of the Rocío that pilgrims make every May to meet the Virgen del Rocío, the one we see on the other side carried on the shoulders of Pentecost Monday by the people of Almonte.

The acts that are part of the Rociora de Lorca Pilgrimage will be developed during two days, being the same a pilgrimage with overnight stay in the vicinity of the park of San José (The Counselor).

These will begin on Saturday May 18 at 9:30 am with a Mass of Romeros to be held at the Church of Carmen;

At 10:30 am there will be a rally in Nogalte Street to begin the procession, during which a salve will be said to the holders of the churches where the procession takes place (San Francisco, San Mateo, Santo Domingo).

At 12:30 hours the Angelus will be recited and at 1:30 p.m., they will arrive at the camp with the singing of the Salve Madre and then, at 2:30 p.m., to take the food of the Brotherhood.

The lighting of the candle will take place at 7:30 p.m. and at night, at 24 hours, the procession of torches and the recitation of the Holy Rosary Sunday will be carried out. "

On Sunday, May 19, at 9:30 a.m., the Campaign Mass will be officiated at the place where the camp will be installed.

At 12 o'clock the Angelus will be recited and at 18 o'clock the camp will be collected and the departure will be made to Lorca.

Later, at 7:30 p.m., you will arrive at the Carmen Church where the Salve Madre will be sung and the collection will take place.

It should be noted that the choir of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Rocío de Lorca will participate in all the acts.

The Big Sister of the Brotherhood of Rocío de Lorca, Maria del Carmen Miñarro, meanwhile, said that "another year, and with the coming of spring, comes the most important act of our Brotherhood, the Pilgrimage.
