Lorca goes from a municipal bankruptcy of 105.4 million debt, and cumulative deficit of 11 million to haunt the technical debt and have a sanitized City Hall with a surplus to be able to execute its own investments.
Lorca reiterates its demand to the central government to confirm the bonus of the IBI to those affected by earthquakes: "they can fix it tomorrow with a Decree Law, but they continue to marginalize and exclude Lorca."
The person in charge of Economy and Property of the Popular Party of Lorca, and councilman in the City council, Juan Francisco Martinez, has informed that Lorca accumulates three years followed reducing the fiscal pressure and the taxes.
The work that we have all developed together during this period has paid off.
In the Popular Party we know that the first step for the economy and employment to work is to lower taxes, and this is what we have been doing.
This is confirmed by the data of the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, which ratify that while the national average of tax pressure is 686, and the regional 585, the existing in our municipality is 507 euros.
The dynamic of lowering and freezing of taxes in our municipality indicates that while in 2016 the fiscal pressure was 547, in 2017 it fell to 511 and this year it has fallen again to 507 euros, and that within this magnitude the bonus of 50% established on the Real Property Tax (IBI) for the victims of earthquakes is taken into account
The economic data of the management of the PP in recent years indicate that the debt has been cut by 66.5 million euros, from 105.4 million generated by the PSOE, to 38.9 currently.
The forecast with which we work is that this figure will be reduced to 36.5 by the end of the year.
All this has been achieved under a very bad scenario: earthquakes, floods and economic crisis that has caused the decline of the income chapter.
The liquidation of the budget, an example of management
The data corresponding to the liquidation of the budget, which have been known today, indicate that the PP has achieved a positive budgetary result of € 8,261,631'23, while the cash surplus is also positive at € 1,865,455'01 ( remember that the PSOE left it at 11.4 million euros negative).
It has also been achieved that the budget stability is positive at € 6,677,996'84, and the net saving is € 6,856,141'15, which certifies that current income is able to cover current expenses plus repayments of the loans.
A true economic turnaround in the face of the PSOE's management, which left the City Council in bankruptcy, the boxes full of invoices, suppliers without payment and a ruinous debt.
Regarding the IBI that the PSOE imposed on the residents of the districts to pay as urban for agricultural parcels, in 2010 we established a bonus of up to 45%, and in 2017 we increased it to 90% in some cases.

The urban IBI have also decreased by 11% in recent years, which adds to the 50% bonuses to those affected by the earthquakes.

The Government of Spain has a great debt to Lorca and we demand that it be satisfied immediately.
The bonus of the IBI has to be respected and the government had to have left this matter solved.
It is only a political issue that can be settled today if you want, but that they insist on leaving it in the trash.
The Lorca have to know that while the PSOE government punishes Lorca and keeps us economically asphyxiated, Pedro Sanchez has just announced that he will not meet the national deficit target of more than 11,000 million euros, and that he will hit us with a "saber" "of 26,000 million in tax increases.
Thus, while the City Council prevents him from making new investments, the PSOE continues to waste and pay mortgages to nationalists and independentistas.
