The events occurred at dawn last Saturday in Carril de Caldereros, when the local police surprised the individual with doses of narcotic substances.

The Local Police Department and Public Safety of the City of Lorca has reported that in the framework of preventive / operational actions that are carried out by the Local Police Corps, members of the UPROL Unit (Unit of Prevention and Local Operational Response ), within the actions aimed at the prevention of criminal acts in the municipality of Lorca, have proceeded to the arrest of an individual as the author of an alleged crime of drug trafficking.

The events took place at dawn on Sunday, May 5, when local police officers were performing one of the usual monitoring and prevention devices, at which time they observed a tourism that, occupied by two people known for their relationship with the world of retail psychotropic substance trafficking, was launched at 01.40 hours, circulating through several streets of the urban area to reach the area of ​​Carril de Caldereros where, after parking the vehicle, he was approached people, one on each side of the vehicle.

At that time the Agents observed that the young man who approached the pilot gave him money in bills, receiving in return some white wrappings.

Simultaneously, the other young man, who had approached by the side of the co-pilot, made the same gesture of delivery of money, at which point the Agents intervened, identifying themselves as such, interrupting that transaction.

In the search of the occupants and registration of the vehicle were found two other white wrappings, with psychotropic substances, hidden under the driver's mat, as well as 900 euros divided into bills of different amounts.

For this reason, the driver was arrested for the commission of an alleged crime against public health.

The vehicle in which they were traveling was immobilized, as there was no person duly authorized to take charge of it.

Due to these facts, the corresponding proceedings were ordered and the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.

This important action confirms the constant preventive / operational work carried out by the Local Police of Lorca through the different units in which it is organized and through the continuous surveillance devices that are established throughout the term
