The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has announced the ruling of the jury of the XXXIV Children's Contest of Tales "Prize María Fernández-Luna" organized by the Network of Municipal Libraries of Lorca.

The mayor stressed that "in this edition have attended 1,329 individual and 18 collective stories, which means a participation of 1,850 students from 11 schools, which again shows that Lorca is a literary city in which children enjoy with reading and writing. "

The jury, chaired by Montiel himself, was formed by Professors Ginesa Rodríguez, Encarna Alarcón, Alejandra Méndez, Mª Huertas García, the graduate in Fine Arts Mónica Rodríguez, the cultural coordinator of the City Council, Santos Campoy, and the library staff.
