6 squares of the center and neighborhoods will host the different musical performances |
The Councilor for Commerce of the City of Lorca, Mª Carmen Ruiz Jódar, along with the president of Hostelor, Francisco Jesús Abellaneda Moya, presented the Sun Fair "De tapeo, tardeo", which will take place on the weekends of 24, 25 and May 26, and May 31, June 1 and 2, at midday and afternoon.
Ruiz explained that "with the aim of boosting these days of good weather and enjoy the cuisine and leisure, a new edition of the Fair of the Sun is launched with new features and a full agenda of activities and music. A total of 21 catering establishments have joined the event and will offer an elaborate tapa plus a fifth of Estrella de Levante for 2.5 euros. "
The tapas offered will include products from our Region, thus promoting our gastronomy within the framework of "1,001 flavors of Murcia Region".
Therefore this year the initiative, within the Fair of the Sun, has the proper name of "De tapeo, tardeo", to encourage the tapas in different areas of the city.
In addition, within the event will be held a photo contest to show the tapas on social networks, encouraging customers to share them and make them known.
In the afternoon there will be various concerts in 6 squares and spaces in the city and neighborhoods to liven up the party and invite Lorca and visitors to go out and enjoy Lorca and its charms.
Specifically 17 concerts will be offered during both weekends, giving space to music of all kinds.
On Friday, May 24, the program will be inaugurated by Los supersónicos at 7:00 p.m. at the Plaza del Camino del Gato.
On Saturday, May 25 at 3:00 pm, Nebraska will play at the Plaza del Pueblo Saharawi, at 5:00 pm there will be a tribute to Los Delinquentes at Lorca Plaza, while Los Bandoleros will play at 6:00 pm at the Convent Passage.
On Sunday 26, Jukebox will begin with the performances starting at 3:00 pm at the Plaza del Pueblo Saharaui, Private Property at San José Park at 4:00 pm, Supersonic will play at 5:00 pm at Lorca Plaza, while Rock and Billy Route will also do it at 5:00 pm at the Mercado del Sol.
On Friday, May 31, the Plaza del Camino del Gato will host the Remember concert at 7:00 p.m.
On Saturday, June 1 at 3:00 pm in the Plaza del Pueblo Saharaui will play the Jetsons, at 4:00 pm at the San José Park it will be the turn of Destilados, Black Night at 5:00 pm at Lorca Plaza and Debaho Band at 18:00 hours in the Convent Passage.
On Sunday, Walkman will play at 3:00 p.m. in the Plaza del Pueblo Saharaui, at 4:00 p.m. Jukebox songs will sound in the San José Park, at 5:00 p.m., it will be the turn of Banda Juarez in Lorca Plaza and at 6:00 p.m. a tribute to Manolo García in the Passage of the Convent.
Ruiz Jódar wanted to "congratulate Hostelor and all participating venues for this initiative with which Lorca will enjoy the spring from the streets and terraces of our city."
