Antonio Meca, candidate for mayor of Lorca for the political formation Citizen, believes that the Emergency Society should be dissolved to join the emergency department, at the same time that Sepor should be referred to the Department of agriculture and livestock and Lorcatur, Lorca workshop del Tiempo SAU to the council of tourism.
The measure proposed by Citizens would represent an important saving for the municipal coffers, since managers and management positions would be eliminated, hundreds of thousands of unnecessary euros.
"The managers of these public companies cost us Lorca 100,000 € for each manager" says Mecca, who has been reporting the unnecessary and disproportionate expenditure that these "placement agencies of family and friends" produces to the public coffers.
Antonio Meca believes that "the management should be taken directly by the City Council through their respective councils, with the corresponding officials, who are perfectly trained to manage these public services.
"This proposal has already been made in the case of Limusa, we managed to terminate its manager and passed its powers to the delegated councilor, a measure that has meant a saving of € 100,000 per year," adds Meca.
From Citizenship "we consider that the total saving of our program proposal would cost around € 500,000 a year in savings"
