Among the cultural and religious activities that will be held to commemorate the anniversary, the celebration of a concentration of Brotherhoods of Glory of the entire Diocese of Cartagena stands out;
a conference on the restoration of the Virgin and the exhibition "Roots"
The Brotherhood of the Virgin of the Gardens has presented this morning the video of the Jubilee Time granted by the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena on the occasion of the celebration this year of the 75th anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of the Patron Saint of Lorca, the Virgin of the Huertas.
This video, which will be disseminated through local and regional media, praises the beauty of the Virgen de las Huertas and shows the different events that take place throughout the year in honor of the patron saint of Lorca.
Lorca has to take advantage of this event to be projected on the tourist map and become a key destination for national tourism.
We have an exceptional heritage that also, thanks to the interventions made after the 2011 earthquakes under the Master Plan, presents its best.
El Tiempo Jubilar offers us the opportunity to take advantage of the synergies to make Lorca a focus of cultural tourism at the same time that we render faith and worship to the Virgen de las Huertas.
The celebration of the Jubilee Time with the concession of Plenary Indulgence will have its opening on March 17, when the Virgin will receive the mantle given by the Consistory.
This date is full of symbolism, since it commemorates the anniversary of the Battle of the Alporchones on March 17, 1452, one of the most outstanding weapons events in the history of the municipality and in which, according to the legend, the Lorca soldiers were entrusted once again to the Virgen de las Huertas to win the battle against the invading troops.
The Jubilee will also take place every Sunday of the month of May, on September 8, on the occasion of the celebration of the feast of the Virgen de las Huertas, on November 26, which commemorates the anniversary of the canonical coronation of the Employer lorquina, and will end on March 22, 2020.

a conference on the restoration of the Virgin and an exhibition entitled "Roots", about the Patroness.
