On Saturday, June 15, the Alimer Cooperative held its General Assembly of Delegates and the delivery of the Food Foundation of the Mediterranean Awards.

This year, the place chosen for the event was the Hotel Riscal de Puerto Lumbreras, a city in which the cooperative locates its flower section and seedbed.

The act began with the celebration of the General Assembly of Delegates of the cooperative, which is the largest in the Region of Murcia among the 1st grade.

Then the Alimer Foundation Awards ceremony took place.

The event was attended by more than 300 people, members of the cooperative and political representatives who did not want to miss the opportunity to congratulate Alimer's work every year, as well as to present the Alimer Foundation Awards.

The recently inaugurated Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, offered a few words to those present where he highlighted the important work done by the cooperative and showed its support in the struggle for resources such as water, so important for the primary sector.

Also attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Miguel Ángel del Amor, who presented the awards of the foundation.

The president of Alimer, Julian Diaz, along with the economic team, made an annual balance of the investments of the cooperative in the last year and the renewal of the governing council was announced.

After the Assembly took place the Awards of the Alimer Foundation, in which the effort and work of seven of the partners was recognized and the work of the members of the outgoing governing council was recognized.

At the end of the event, the attendees enjoyed a dinner at the hotel facilities.
