The councilor of IU-Greens Lorca, Gloria Martin, has lodged a complaint with the Nature Protection Service of the Civil Guard (SEPRONA), after having knowledge of the placement of stocks in the vicinity of the deputation of Zarcilla de Ramos.
Several neighbors have contacted Martin to explain that two dogs have already had to suffer amputations after being trapped in hunting gear that are considered illegal because they are "non-selective" methods.
Martín regretted the irresponsibility of those who not only seriously violate the regulations on the protection of natural heritage, biodiversity and hunting, but also cause cruel suffering to animals that are victims of these snares, "which are totally prohibited by current legislation "
"They can even cause mutilations in people who may fall into them," said the mayor, so I trust that the SEPRONA initiate the relevant investigation and punish those responsible.
