Thirty young Europeans will be part of the CentreRED II Exchange (28/06/2019)

It will be from June 24 to July 1 when 30 young people between 13 and 17 years old, from Italy, Slovenia, Greece, Slovakia, Poland, will share their ideas and good practices in a multicultural environment while improving their knowledge of the English language.

The Councilor for Youth, José Ángel Ponce, presented this morning CentreRed II.

This is the second edition of a Youth Exchange in which 30 boys and girls, from 13 to 17 years old, from Italy, Slovenia, Greece, Slovakia, Poland and Spain will participate.

Organized by the Cazalla Intercultural Association in collaboration with the City of Lorca, the Councilor for Youth detailed that "this exchange has been built on four main objectives: to develop active citizenship among the youth sector by building models of social integration and cooperation, create and develop a plan of attractive and interesting activities to be implemented in the different youth centers of the six participating cities, promote intercultural understanding and European citizenship in the youth sector, as well as create a safe and open work space for the exchange of ideas, and activities developed in the different youth centers of the participating countries ".

El Edil de Juventud highly valued CenterRed II, "an activity that will allow learning from people who are already involved in similar organizations in their country of origin".

All of these young participants will have the opportunity to exchange good practices and learn how to work with a limited amount of resources as well as experience how social change can come from within the community.

Ponce Diaz, also spoke of "the opportunity to create new networks throughout the European Union through the construction of friendships and new projects" through the sharing of ideas to improve the local environment and increase the autonomy of youth local at the same time they improve their knowledge of the English language, express their concern for the current state of society and propose ideas to improve their local environment.

José Ángel Ponce, during his speech, also announced that within the policies that the new Government Team intends to apply highlights "the firm commitment to the youth of Lorca, to give them the opportunity to participate actively in the life of the city and , also, in the life of the M13 Youth Center ".
