[Mamma Mia!

Again and again, Bohemian Rhapsody or Champions within summer film programming]

One more edition has been selected a program of feature films capable of interesting and entertaining all types of spectators, whatever their tastes and level of demand.

The Councilor for Culture, María Ángeles Mazuecos, announced this morning, together with the director of Cineclub Paradiso, Jesús Martínez, the cinema program that one more year starts up for the summer months, an open-air film program , with the aim of offering an offer of leisure and culture to those citizens who during these months remain in the city and, also, contribute to create a suggestive cultural dynamic that attracts those who are near the city or passing through it. .

Mazuecos has recalled that as usual, the cultural program "Film Summer" will take place in the Plaza Calderón de la Barca during the Tuesdays of July and August, from 10 pm and from next Tuesday, July 2.

With free and open access to all interested citizens.

The mayor of Culture has detailed that "a film program has been selected that is able to interest and entertain all types of spectators, whatever their tastes and level of demand when watching a film. , that as council of Culture our obligation is never to lose the reference of the quality in the elected titles and the accessibility in the message, to all kinds of people ".

Thus, the program will start on Tuesday, July 2 with the screening of ¡Mamma mía!

Again and again, the second installment of the successful musical film conceived based on the songs of the legendary Swedish pop group, ABBA.

Keeping practically the same distribution as in the first part and adding some new songs from among the huge repertoire of the group, the producers repeated the commercial success knowing to maintain the connection with the viewer through an argument perfectly interlaced with the lyrics of the songs and raising the level of finishing and production.

The programming will be completed every Tuesday of July with titles as suggestive and diverse as Mission: Impossible.

Fallout (Tuesday, July 9);

a monument to the cinema of adventures and action and the best, to date, adaptation to the cinema of the hit television series, with a Tom Cruise in top form under the direction of a director who has managed to interpret perfectly the keys to success of the MI franchise.

Or with films of more reflective and conscious tone, where Green book reigns (Tuesday, July 16), Oscar to the best film as cover letter and the

superb interpretations of its main actors, Viggo Mortensen and Maheshala Ali, as the main incentive.

We will return to the musical to include one of the great hits of public of 2018, Bohemian Rhapsody (Tuesday, July 23), the biography accompanied by its own music of the group QUEEN and its leader and singer Freddie Mercury, A commercial phenomenon sponsored by the push from mouth to mouth that earned the Oscar for the best actor to its main character, Rami Malek, for his mimetic recreation of Freddie Mercury himself.

And the month closes with the screening of Viudas (Tuesday, July 30), a thriller of robberies and heists of realistic cut and classic parameters with the variant of its main characters, a group of women forced to assume the role intended until now to men in this genre so positioned for the male spectator.

With a trio of excellent actresses under his command, director Steve McQueen, has managed to open the floodgates of a traditionally conservative genre in terms of the role assigned to women in their arguments, maintaining interest and tension in the viewer without this in the least, this revolutionary change weighs on you.

Undoubtedly for this question the Ministry of Culture has granted to Viudas one of its first recently created qualifications as Specially Recommended for the Promotion of Gender Equality.

August will bring to Lorca a selection of films also heterogeneous and designed to please everyone, but not so known by most, seeking the double effect that the surprise of his discovery gives a movie that has made us enjoy.

The month begins with Love Less Thought (Tuesday, August 6), a beautiful and fun reflection on the crisis of middle-aged couples, sublimated by the portentous interpretation made of its main characters two colossi of Argentine cinema, Ricardo Darín and Mercedes Moran, surrounded by a cast of secondary no less brilliant, all at the service of some superb dialogues.

Continue the program on August 13 with the space that each summer we reserve for some classic of those summers of yesteryear, this one specifically dedicated to the memory of the recently deceased Doris Day, queen of the romantic comedy during the 50's and the 60 and from which we have selected the one that for many is his best film in this genre Confidencias de medianoche, his first collaboration with Rock Hudson as a casting partner and a monument to a way of making and conceiving cinema that would disappear with the retirement of the actress herself at the end of the sixties.

What has not disappeared, despite the few samples that reach us is the western as the main genre of cinema, as it is responsible for demonstrating the title we have selected for August 20, The Brothers Sisters, a fabulous and original sample of the ability to surprise and innovate that has the most cinematographic of genres.

With an extraordinary cast (Joaquin Phoenix, John C. Really and Jake Gylllenhall), a renewing argument, a

suitable landscape (it was filmed in Burgos and Almeria) and a French director, this film of 2019 has returned to the western cinema at the forefront of the seventh art.

And, as is customary, the program will end with a final drive that will leave us wanting to return to the Plaza Calderón next summer: Champions, the Spanish film triumphant at all levels in 2018. And one of those movies to enjoy of all the good that cinema can give us.

Also as in previous summers, some of the districts of our municipal district that, due to their distance from the urban nucleus, make it difficult for their neighbors to move to the Plaza Calderón, will enjoy their own version of the program Verano de cine, through of the CINE + CO.PE program.

Specifically the urban centers of Áviles, Almendricos, Calnegre, Coy and Zarzadilla de Totana.
