The Councilor for Development and Infrastructure of Lorca, Isabel Casalduero, reported this morning of the demolition of the wall and the removal of the concrete base of the Journalists Street located in La Viña, next to the upper part of the Park of this neighborhood.
The mayor of Development has detailed that "the objective of these works is the widening of this road, for them the reinforced concrete of the base has been demolished an electrical tower installed in the area, in addition to the wall through mechanical means with the subsequent removal of the rubble to the landfill. "
Casalduero stressed that "in this way there will be an improvement in mobility, accessibility and the definitive connection with the neighborhood of La Viña thanks to the continuity that will be produced by traffic between Journalist and Rubén Darío streets".
For this, the grade of the current road will be transformed and a concrete wall will be made that will allow entry to the parking lot of the duplexes of Journalists Street.
In addition, Casalduero explained that a dismount was also carried out, as well as the previous clearing and the slope of the street to the existing electrical tower.
This action, which is included in the Plan of Pedanías, deputations and peripheral and / or depressed neighborhoods 2018-2019, has an allocation budget of 10,321 euros.
