The local police detain a person as alleged perpetrator of a crime of copper theft in the hamlet of La Hoya (19/07/2019)

The Councilor for Public Safety of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, reported that the Local Police has clarified a robbery committed force in the district of La Hoya Lorca, fruit of which has resulted as a person investigated as alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with force.

The events began when members of the UPROL were aware of the commission of a robbery in the hamlet of La Hoya, in which many meters of copper pipe used for the channeling of natural gas valued at around € 600 were stolen, and This material could have been delivered for sale in one of the municipal scrap yards.

After carrying out various procedures and inquiries, it was possible to locate said material and obtain the data of the person who had made the sale of the same, coinciding with the person alleged to have committed the theft.

Both the author of these acts and the stolen material were placed at the disposal of the Civil Guard of Lorca for the clarification of the facts and their judicial disposition.

Guillén Ruiz remembers that "with this important performance confirms the constant preventive / operational work developed by Local Police of Lorca through the various units in which it is organized and through the surveillance devices that are established throughout the municipality, as well as its coordination with the rest of Security Forces and Bodies. "

We remind that this action is within the preventive / operative actions that are carried out by the Local Police, through members of the Prevention and Local Operative Response Units (UPROL), within the campaign of prevention of criminal acts.
