The Local Police investigates young people for graffiti on the wagons of the commuter train at Sutullena station (22/07/2019)

The alleged perpetrators, residents of the province of Almeria, are accused of a crime of damage and recognized the agents who had come to Lorca with the sole purpose of 'graffiti' the trains.

The councilman of Local Police and Public Safety of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén has reported that "are being investigated three people as alleged perpetrators of a crime of being caught making graffiti on the wagons of the commuter train at the station Sutullena. "

The events began when the local police room received a notice informing that several young people were performing these graffiti, once received the information, several crews moved quickly to the site and an operation was established in the area in order to cover possible escape routes.

Once covered, the agents accessed the train tracks, and when they were detected by the youngsters, they undertook the escape on foot, initiating a pursuit for several meters in which it was possible to reach two of them, while another young man jumped the fence of a house and access to its interior, being intercepted later, since, after making a shake, was surprised in one of the enclosures of the adjoining houses to which it had jumped.

Together with the wagons, five bags with 29 cans of sprays used to make the graffiti, which had been abandoned when they fled, were intervened.

Graffiti artists, alleged perpetrators of a crime of damage and residents of the province of Almeria, told the agents that they had come to Lorca for the sole purpose of graffitiing the wagons.

Both the perpetrators of these acts and the material intervened were put at the disposal of the National Police of Lorca to clarify the facts and bring them to justice.

The mayor of Seguridad Ciudadana has detailed that "this joint intervention between members of the UPPSC unit and the UPROL unit is included within the preventive / operative actions that are carried out by the Local Police Corps, members of the Prevention Units and Local Operative Response (UPROL), within the campaign to prevent criminal acts ".

Guillén Ruiz stressed that "with this important performance, confirms the constant preventive / operational work carried out by the Local Police through the various units in which it is organized and through surveillance devices that are established throughout the municipality, as well as its coordination with the rest of Security Forces and Bodies. "
