The PP transfers "Decree" to the current central government of the PSOE the Decree to prevent those affected by the earthquake have to pay 7.5 million euros for the IBI (24/07/2019)

• Pedro Sánchez has approved in the last month 8 Decree-Law, all with economic measures, subsidies, grants and scholarships, not considering the interests of Lorca.

Nor have they approved the cancellation of the interests of the aid or the agreement of 3 million euros for the realization of works in our districts.

The Spokesman of the Popular Group in the City of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has informed that the Popular Party of Lorca "gives done and drafted" to the current government of Spain the Decree-Law that victims of earthquakes are demanding from the PSOE for more of a year, before the total marginalization that the Lorca people continue to suffer from a government that has turned its back on our city.

The concern is increasing at times, as the days pass and October 1 approaches, the tension increases.

From the PP of Lorca, as the current government has not had the deference of moving a single finger to move forward with the Decree Law we need, we go one step further, transferring the text it needs to the PSOE.

You just have to sign it, this morning if you want, and this matter is over.

We are verifying that, either this is promoted by Lorca, or we are bound to pay 7.5 million IBI.

The difference between the treatment that the PP and PSOE governments have had with the IBI bonus is very evident: while in 2012 the Government of Mariano Rajoy carried out a Royal Decree Law to favor the reconstruction in our municipality that specifically included the bonus of the IBI, the current Pedro Sánchez executive has done nothing.

We have not moved a finger for more than a year, and if Lorca are not mobilized, we will have to pay 7.5 million euros for the IBI on October 1.

It should be remembered that the Government of Rajoy justified the Decree Law, indicating that "the situation of those affected allows the Government to invoke the extraordinary and urgent need as a necessary budget" for its approval (...) The persistent gravity of the current situation shows that economic and social imbalances that require fiscal corrective measures persist in order to reduce the tax burden to be paid by the citizens of Lorca. "

We have already been saying it, but time is running out, and the patience of Lorca as well.

From the PP, within our campaign to take away the bonus of the IBI, we have presented in the Congress of Deputies two proposals calling on the current government of Spain to approve the 50% bonus of the IBI and forgive the interests to the recipients of public aid

We see that we are running out of time, we have been waiting for many months and we cannot allow the Lorca to stay without the IBI bonus for the paralysis of a government that continues to show unfortunate disinterest in the issues related to the earthquakes in Lorca.

By now they should have unlocked this issue.

We want to avoid reaching a point of no return on this issue, and that is why we are doing everything we have in our hands to achieve it.

It seems "unpresentable" that they have not had with Lorca the sensitivity they have had for minor issues.

Those affected by the earthquakes do not deserve this mistreatment by the government of Spain, so we are going to put maximum pressure, since this is now the absolute priority for our municipality.

We are talking about a "sablazo" against those affected by the earthquakes of 7.5 million euros, a real barbarity.

Around 44,000 properties would be affected

A few days ago our National Deputy Isabel Borrego presented a Proposal No. of Law submitted to the Bureau of the Congress of Deputies for the IBI bonus, also signed by Teodoro García (National Deputy and General Secretary of the Popular Party at national level) and José Antonio Bermúdez de Castro (spokesman for the PP in Congress).

Through this initiative, the Congress of Deputies urges the Government to adopt, as a matter of urgency, as many measures as are necessary to Bonus 50 percent of the Real Estate Tax quotas for the year 2019, with the same requirements established for the exemption regulated in this Tax in article 12 of Royal Decree-Law 612011, of May 13, which takes urgent measures to repair the damage caused by seismic movements, as well as compensate the City of Lorca for the decrease in income that this measure can produce.

The parliamentary offensive of the PP not only contemplates demanding the 50% bonus of the IBI, but also claims through a specific Proposal of Law to modify article 8 of Royal Decree-Law 6/2011 so that these grants do not generate interest or penalties in any case for delay.

In order to quickly and effectively benefit the recipients of these grants, the PP proposes in its proposal a Final Provision for this Law to enter into force the day after its publication in the "Official State Gazette.

The Popular Parliamentary Group in Congress has previously presented another 4 initiatives in this regard, showing the commitment of this party to help people.

Thus, on August 21, 2018 we presented an initiative (NLP) requesting the remission of the interests of the State so that those affected by the earthquakes can justify their aid.

On October 30, 2018, we again demand, through a Proposal of Law, the urgent measures to repair the damages caused by the seismic movements, and in February of this year we again proposed an NLP so that 50% of the IBI was reimbursed those affected by earthquakes.
