The Councilor for Urban Planning and Environment, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, has informed of the celebration, last Thursday, July 25, of the Conciliation Table in which the different political groups represented in the City Council, the farmers and the platforms of associations of neighbors of the districts of the Highlands and the Garden, and that will be through this organ where the alternative solutions are given â€.
Ruiz Guillén has indicated that “despite the initial tensions to reach agreements and common points after the conclusion of this meeting, the decision was made, at the initiative of the Government team and with the support of all political groups, to create a sheet of route in which through the Department of Urban Planning and Environment regular meetings are held with farmers and neighbors, to convene at the Conciliation Table in which to give an account of the decisions taken.
The mayor has reiterated that “we must reach agreements and consensus, for that we have resumed the celebration of the Bureau that should never be interrupted, and this is an inherited problem that we now want to solve, our commitment is that in the coming months a definitive solution to this matter â€.
In addition, Ruiz Guillén has announced that the mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, “will meet, in the coming days, with representatives of farmers and neighbors to address the problems they face today and put an end to the misinformation that has generated the uncertainty that has led to the concentration of farmers this morning in the Plaza de España â€.
From the City Council they insist on “the importance that the livestock sector has for our municipality, as well as its impact on job creation.
Lorca stands out for its high pig production, a large percentage of the farms that are registered in the Region are in Lorca â€.
