The work of the Popular Party in the City Council will expand narrow streets, create green areas and improve access in the Barrio de San Cristóbal (30/07/2019)

The popular demand the PSOE not to hide who managed the project that the mayor has tried to appropriate today.

These examples of disregard must be suppressed, since recognizing people's work is a gesture of courtesy and good education.

The councilor of the Popular Party in the City of Lorca, Angel Meca, has complained to the current local government that when reporting the works and projects managed by the PP, do not hide who has been the party that has carried out the work.

Unfortunately, this type of inconsistency and half truths are being repeated regularly in recent days, and today they have happened again.

The works that the PSOE announces today as its own with the expropriation and demolition of some properties in the San Cristóbal neighborhood correspond to the management carried out by the Popular Party, and are the result of an intense work that has been developing for months.

Therefore, recognizing people's work is a gesture of courtesy and good education.

Meca Ruzafa has indicated that nothing happens to recognize who has done all the work so that these projects can be executed, since the intervention that the PSOE sells today as its own in the San Cristóbal neighborhood is the result of the work that from the Party Popular we carry out over many months with the effort of municipal officials, and there is the newspaper library and the City Council's own website to highlight the half truths that the PSOE could save: https: // www.

Ángel Meca has stated that these attempts to appropriate the work of others leave the current mayor in a very bad place, who should not fall into these errors.

It is precisely from the Mayor's Office where one should work to maintain a reciprocal institutional loyalty, so we demand that this type of situation be avoided in the future. We request the current local government to report on municipal actions when they do so in all their terms, instead of hiding, as they have done today, the true authorship of the projects.

Ángel Meca has stated that what matters to us is that the Lorca people reap the fruits of a job well done, always for the benefit of the neighbors of the Neighborhood, both in this action and in the creation of the park on the plot that has been free in the block delimited by the streets Eulogio Periago, Juan Mínguez and Beato Fray Pedro Soler, as well as in the integral arrangement that we leave approved in Portijico street.

The priority commitment that the Popular Party maintains with the residents that reside within the high areas of the San Cristóbal neighborhood, from its urban work side, is to gradually eliminate the incidents that have been detected, and that range from security problems derived from the instability of natural elements in the area, through the expansion of streets, improved accessibility and elimination of waste disposal centers.

For this, we promote the initial approval of the Expropriation Project with the purpose of completing and improving the existing road, as well as obtaining green areas located in different areas of the San Cristóbal neighborhood.

These properties are located in plots classified as consolidated urban land by the General Plan, where isolated actions by expropriation are contemplated, delimited in the land management plans that aim to obtain land.

These are urbanistically collected spaces such as E-13, E-15, E-17, E-27 and E-40.

In this way, the residents of the area will be able to verify how to proceed to the release for public space of 9 cadastral plots located in the Tizón, Gálvez, Cuevas de Mena, Portijico and Travesía del Segura streets.

It should be noted that the total budget for this expropriation amounts to € 63,034.25.

This new initiative, which responds to the general feeling of the residents of the neighborhood, is a new example that the PP's commitment to improve the quality of life and the urban environment of residents in San Cristóbal is firm and forceful.

We must remember that in recent years 7.5 million have been invested in improving streets in the San Cristóbal neighborhood thanks to the investment effort of the Regional Government of the Popular Party Regional Government.
