The decline in unemployment lists has occurred in all sectors, the most significant being that registered in agriculture, where 86 people found employment the previous month.
The Councilor for Local Development and Employment of the City of Lorca, Isabel Casalduero has announced today the unemployment registered in Lorca according to data from the Regional Employment and Training Service.
Specifically, during July 204 people left the unemployment lists, from 4,729 unemployed in the month of June to 4,525 registered at the end of July.
According to the Councilor for Employment, unemployment has fallen in all sectors, the most significant being that registered in the agriculture sector, where 86 people found a job in July, from 667 to 581 unemployed with which the sector counts today.
Casalduero also highlights the increase in contracts in the services sector, mainly due to the summer season, which goes from 3,020 to 2,947 unemployed.
In Industry unemployment fell during the past month in 19 people, standing at 404 unemployed, in construction it has dropped by one person and the sector currently has 281 unemployed.
During the past month 25 people without previous activity have also joined the labor market.
By age, the local Local Development has reported that the largest decline has occurred in the age range between 25 and 44 years from the 1,961 that were recorded in June to 1,890 with which July has closed.
It is also important to highlight the decrease in the number of unemployed in those under 25 who have gone from the 355 registered in June to 311 last month.
And in the segment of people over 45, 89 people found work in the seventh month of the year, with the figure at 2,324 unemployed.
The councilor explained that it is a decrease in the rate of positive municipal unemployment but that "it is necessary to apply new policies for training, employment and promotion of labor incorporation to ensure that the number of unemployed in the city continues to decrease."
And he reiterated that "one of the main objectives of the Government team is to create job stability, end the seasonality of hiring and improve the quality of contracts that are formalized."
