The Councilors of Social Services and New Technologies of the City of Lorca, María Dolores Chumillas and Irene Jódar, announced this morning the start-up, starting next September 15, of the request for prior appointment electronically and through the www.lorca.es municipal portal for Social Services.
The mayor of New Technologies, Irene Jódar, explained that for this "technicians are working on the creation of software that allows citizens to book their appointment with Social Services, so on the website of the City Council a section will be enabled where you can carry out this procedure, an existing facility to request an appointment at the registration office. "
In short, said the Councilor, "all those users with Internet access request the appointment from the home computer or also from the mobile itself."
Jódar stressed that "during these weeks the technicians of both councils are working hand in hand for the implementation of this new service, carrying out a synergy between both departments that we will maintain from this government team in order to always save resources of which we have ".
For its part, for the mayor of Social Services "is undoubtedly a firm commitment to continue facilitating these efforts to users. This new appointment service is another step to improve social assistance to Lorca and Lorca", and recalled that "a few weeks ago the transfer to the Local Development Center of the administrative services of this same council was made effective to increase the number of offices available for private and individual interviews."
Chumillas has pointed out that "during this month of August, this appointment service is also operating in the Civic Center of San Cristóbal through the administrative staff that we have today in these units."
In a few weeks, Social Services users may request a telematic appointment to be attended, among others, by social workers, both in the urban area and in districts, social inclusion, processing of the aid of the Law of the Unit, social assistance of an urgent nature.
In addition, both councilors have encouraged users to use this new system that "will be added to those already available such as the telephone or the facilities of said Department to optimize the time spent by the citizens of Lorca to carry out the efforts and the necessary administrative procedures. "
