The City of Lorca keeps the Municipal Emergency Service on alert despite the torrential rains leaving a balance of "relative tranquility" (13/09/2019)

Several roads and secondary roads are kept cut due to runoff as well as the closure of certain medical offices due to the impossibility of the arrival of workers from other municipalities.

The Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has taken stock this morning of the torrential rains that shook the city during yesterday afternoon and this morning.

Mateos stressed that "we have had a night of relative tranquility since there have been no incidents of special gravity. All operating devices have been maintained and what has been done is a special follow-up especially to the cutting of roads and roads, which they are numerous due to the multitude of crosses of ramblas and channels.

"During the last 24 hours, about 90 liters per square meter and around 100 liters have been accumulated in the different districts of our municipality."

Rains that have not caused personal injury although it has been necessary to relocate an elderly couple residing in La Campana, "said the Mayor.

Mateos Molina also reported "the closure of the medical offices of La Campana; La Torrecilla; Morata; Purias; La Listen; Cazalla and Aguaderas as well as the Center for Mental Health. "

Diego José Mateos wanted to "thank all the municipal services staff who have been alert all night and will continue all day" and wanted to show support and maximum collaboration to those municipalities that are being deeply affected by this cold drop, "putting at your disposal the resources of Lorca that are necessary to help restore normalcy as soon as possible".
