The PP requires the immediate reopening of the Child Care Points of both districts and calls on the current local government to rectify its decision to close both facilities because, they say, "they are not a profitable service"
The Councilor for Equality in the City of Lorca by the Popular Party, María de las Huertas García, has demanded the immediate reopening of both municipal nurseries, which today are closed to lime and song because of the negligence of PSOE and Citizens .
Months and months were spent giving blows of chest and promising left and right, but the reality is that the first measure of those parties to fight against depopulation and the provision of services and resources in districts has been to close the nurseries of La Hoya and La Paca, with the excuse that "it is not a profitable service".
The Popular Councilor explained that Lorca is faced with the situation that while the Popular Party managed this City Council we managed to launch the Infant School of the Cat and the nurseries of La Paca, La Hoya, Cazalla, these under the name of Attention Points to Children (MYP).
But Citizens and the PSOE have arrived and those of La Paca and La Hoya have already closed, and they have not carried out any real procedures to facilitate their implementation.
From the Popular Party we had to denounce at the beginning of September that the passivity and laziness of PSOE and Citizens had caused the closure of the nursery in La Paca.
We are talking about a service that benefited families of our high districts, and for whose operation we redouble the necessary municipal efforts, given that it is a resource that the neighbors themselves asked us and that helps to fix population precisely in the areas of our municipality in which we actively work to avoid depopulation.
At that time the current local government hid behind weak excuses to try to hide this closure, and promised that the nursery would open its doors on October 1.
However, the reality is that the center is closed and no procedure has been carried out so that the facilities are available to the neighbors.
In fact, nothing is recorded in the successive meetings of the Local Government Board, so it is clear that Citizens and PSOE simply "pass" the issue, and the alleged "commitment" of the mayor was nothing more than a hoax to leave the step before the protests of the neighbors.
As if that were not enough, the case of La Paca also includes that of the municipal nursery of La Hoya, which is also closed, without citizens or PSOE saying anything about it.
We are talking about a center that is located in the La Hoya Industrial Estate and that is closed, without taking care of the families that could benefit and without having been interested in promoting its opening from the current government.
They said they were going to fight depopulation, but the reality is that they have already begun to suppress services to the neighbors of the districts.
We already said several weeks ago that the current municipal misgovernment what had been taken more seriously were their own vacations, and while we Lorca have to suffer for their negligence and inoperance.
And it is that precisely during the summer they had to have hired the nursery service, but they have been "forgotten", and now the families that took their children to the nursery are those who pay the neglect of PSOE and Citizens.
They should have done it, but they went on vacation without even notifying the victims of the closure.
