The project allows urban decongestion of the heart of San Cristóbal, replacing heavily degraded buildings with a green area
The Spokesman of the Popular Party in the City of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has demanded the urgent execution of the green zone that would have to be at the service of the neighbors in the San Cristóbal neighborhood.
From the PP we leave all the work done, it is only necessary to finish off the intervention in the area, but instead time goes by without progress being recorded to materialize this project.
We request that you be aware of what is important, and that strategic works, such as this one, be expedited, as the neighbors of the area have claimed, who do not understand why this action has stopped.
The case of the UA-23 park in San Cristóbal is a clear example of an emblematic urban project, of special importance and benefit for all the neighbors.
What we ask is that it be expedited.
It is one of the most ambitious urban interventions that has been developed in the area, and involves the replacement of an old and degraded block that will give way to an area for the recreation of families, in addition to generating a new series of 14 car parks following the advice of neighbors, merchants, pleasures and hoteliers.
We demand that work is already done so that the rabaleros have a green area in the heart of the Barrio, in which it constitutes the most important urban improvement intervention that has been carried out in the Barrio over the last decades.
It is a plot of 1,034 m2 located between Eulogio Periago, Juan Mínguez and Beato Fray Pedro Soler streets, in the heart of the San Cristóbal neighborhood.
During the last years more than a hundred streets of the Barrio de San Cristóbal have been the subject of investments, of which the integral improvement of the Calle Mayor and Ortega Melgares (715,000 euros), as well as Eulogio Periago (€ 712,000) the latter included in an injection of 7.5 million for the comprehensive arrangement of a 58-street battery.
In addition to the above, other municipal works have allowed the improvement of another 46 streets in the same neighborhood.
It should be noted that in San Cristóbal, the works on Charco Street have been completed, responding to the PP's commitment to the neighbors, leading to an investment of 358,333.70 euros.
