SEPOR starts this November 4 at IFELOR (23/10/2019)

The event takes another step towards international consolidation including trade missions from China, Japan, Sweden, Guinea and Paraguay

The Lorca Livestock, Industrial and Agri-Food Fair, SEPOR, will celebrate its 52nd edition from November 4 to 7 at the Lorca Fair and Congress Center (IFELOR).

The mayor of Lorca and president of SEPOR, Diego José Mateos;

the general director of Livestock of the Autonomous Community, Francisco José Espejo, the general director of Commerce of the CARM, Carolina Espinosa, and the director of the exhibition, Patry Bermúdez, presented the poster and the technical program of the Parador this morning contest that will again make Lorca and the Region of Murcia a national and international reference in promotion, research and commitment to the sector.

SEPOR has several new features this year: the exhibition space is expanded with a new pavilion and facilities for conference rooms are improved.

Another novelty is the conversion of the Avian Monograph into a National Poultry Symposium with more days of celebration and a specific exhibition area for this agri-food subsector.

Together with the National Association of Animal Carriers, the ANTA Conference is launched in this 52nd edition with the aim of continuing to train all the links that participate in the food chain.

Food security will have a leading role in the inaugural session with a day in which advances in antimicrobial resistance in animal health will be analyzed.

Another addition to the program is the Women's Leadership Day (LIFEM) dedicated to highlighting the role of women as a driver of innovation in the agricultural sector.

The fair faces its most international edition with the celebration of trade missions with important companies from China, Japan, Paraguay and ministerial representatives of Equatorial Guinea.

This action is carried out jointly with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lorca and the Institute of Development of the Region of Murcia.

In addition, an expedition of Swedish businessmen interested in the Spanish meat sector will also reach Lorca.

The president of SEPOR said during the presentation that "one more year Lorca will become an international benchmark in the industrial and agri-food sector, but especially in the livestock sector. As every year to our city, professionals and experts from different points of the national scene will arrive and also from other countries to share the different techniques and ways of working within the same sector. Highlight from this edition 2019, the day dedicated to the important role of women as a driver of innovation in the agricultural sector. "

In addition to the news, the technical program keeps its appointments already consolidated.

Thus, the International Pig Symposium will begin on Tuesday, November 5 with the best experts in animal production, health and welfare.

The latest advances in environmental and socio-economic sustainability in intensive pig production will also be discussed.

On Tuesday, November 5, the results of the ANICE-CAJAMAR barometer of the Spanish meat industry will be presented.

The V Day of Beef Beef will take place on Wednesday, November 6 and will host, as in each edition, the live celebration of the weekly session of the Agricultural Market of Binéfar.

The III Training Day for goats, and the training and technical advice of COAG will be held on Thursday, November 7.

After the success of the first edition, the Lorca Livestock Fair once again hosts the SEPOR Commodities Exchange under the title 'Cereals and proteins in a convulsive environment'.

Foro Interalimentario will gather consumers around a round table, on November 4, in which food will be radiographed in Spain.

In collaboration with the White Coat Pig Interprofessional (INTERPORC), the gastronomic days 'With your hands in the dough' and 'Pairing Kitchen with our white cape star' will be held.

The III International Contest of Ham Cutters of White Layer-1st Qualification INTERPORC Spain Award will close, as every year, the program of events of SEPOR.

The III Gold SEPOR Gala to recognize people, companies and institutions that work for the agri-food sector will be held on Tuesday, November 5.

More than 450 commercial firms from all over the world participate in this edition of SEPOR which, as the director of the contest points out, "is again very ambitious in objectives because we continue to incorporate essential agents in the food chain. At SEPOR we approach the entire chain, from the feeding and caring for animals to the products that reach the table of consumers.We are a contest that integrates the whole process and in which we bet on the information and training, both of the professionals of each subsector and of the citizens as recipients end of production and marketing ".
