The PP proposes the creation of a new municipal platform that allows Lorca teachers to publish their innovations and educational experiences (02/12/2019)

It is the invisible work they do outside of school hours and that aim to improve student learning, looking for ways of teaching that adapt to each of them "

The Councilor for Education in the City of Lorca by the Popular Party, Pedro Mondéjar, has proposed to the current local government to make visible the best innovations of our teachers and to be shared widely by all teachers and teachers in the municipality.

For this we propose to the current local government to establish a municipal platform in which these teaching professionals have the opportunity to publish a compilation of the best experiences of the centers of the municipality, publishing on paper every year those that have an academic value of Greater relevance.

From the PP we also propose that this initiative reaches beyond our municipality, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.

We claim that this edition has its own ISBN, in order to serve the authors of the recognition experiences, not only public, but for their personal teaching records.

We want a public presentation of the edition of these innovations.

Pedro Mondéjar has indicated that this proposal is put on the table with the hope that this time it will be accepted by the government team.

We do it from the full responsibility that we are here to contribute ideas for the good of Lorca, its citizens and people related in one way or another with education.

The Popular Party of Lorca is firmly committed to education and freedom of education, which leads to having quality centers and at the same time responding to all citizens.

We want to underline the great work that teachers are doing in schools and how important and valuable are certain practices and innovations that they carry out.

These innovations are the result of endless hours dedicated to the creation, design and preparation of these approaches and the materials they entail.

It is the invisible work they do outside of school hours and whose sole objective is to improve student learning, looking for ways of teaching that adapt to each of them.

All this enormous work is not that it is not valued, it is that it is not even known, creating in many occasions negative mantras about the profession, which we here today denounce and put in value, on the contrary all this unrecognized effort and therefore the Respect he deserves.

Lorca is a large municipality, in extension and diverse on the school map.

Our large network of schools of Infant and Primary Education, Compulsory Secondary Schools, Bachelor, Vocational Training, Languages, Conservatory of Music and other educational realities, means that there is an immensity of teachers working for innovation and for the improvement of the quality of learning and the diversity of teaching.

To all this are added the different educational realities of the municipality that enrich it even more, with centers in rural areas as opposed to those in the urban area, special education centers and periphery centers.

This amalgam of realities projects educational innovations that in most cases are not even known, so we have to give them the opportunity to make them visible, not only as an assessment of the centers and people who perform them, but also as a sample of examples of good practices to be followed by the other centers, being a source of inspiration and courage to the rest of teachers who sometimes do not have real and close experiences where they can grab to make the leap towards the paradigm shift and therefore towards the constant improvement of the educational process.

In November we opted to make a recognition of the teaching profession, deeply oriented to the dignity and respect of teachers and professors, who every day with their good work enrich our students, making them grow in knowledge and values.

The "Teachers Gala" constitutes an attempt and desire that the current local government, with Mr Mateos at its head, embrace our initiative to highlight the daily work of these professionals.

We have to regret that this idea was ignored and criticized by the government team, which does not believe that the sum of all can make a better Lorca and a better education.

But the Popular Party, aware of the importance of education in the lives of many students in growth and constant training, continues to propose to improve this facet of life that is decisive for the evolution of each individual, within a society in freedom .
