IU criticizes the lack of seriousness in the degree of compliance with its government agreement with the PSOE (10/12/2019)

Pedro Sosa, councilor spokesman for Izquierda Unida Verdes in the town hall of Lorca, has lamented this morning the lack of seriousness with which the local PSOE executive is taking some of the aspects of the investiture agreement they signed with them, such as the referents to participatory democracy or woodland protection.

For Sosa it is very striking that the recent election of the pediatric mayor of La Hoya is celebrated as “democraticâ€, because four or five boards of associations have proposed this before 200 people gathered in a restaurant and that he had the presence of several members of the Corporation, but without taking into account the opinion of the 4,000 neighbors who live instead.

Sosa says he has nothing against the new pedunal, but in his election mode, nothing democratic, since it is an overwhelming majority that has not been able to participate in the process and that goes against one of the points of the government agreement with the PSOE before the start of the corporate period, consisting of the election of Neighborhood and District Boards in a democratic way.

In addition, this has aroused the suspicion of other neighborhood associations from other places who do not understand why they are assigned a finger pediatrician and cannot do the same as in La Hoya.

Another aspect in which according to Sosa the word given is not being maintained, is in the care of urban trees, specifically in the Caravaca Highway, which after being saved in extremis by IU, after learning that they were plucking the 60 copies of jacaranda trees for remodeling works, he obtained the promise of both the Mayor, and the mayor of Development, Mrs. Casalduero, that those who inevitably had to be removed would be transplanted and would be notified to supervise the process.

Well, to the mayor's surprise, it turns out that six of these jacarandas are going to be transplanted torticera, as you can see after visiting the area with specialized technicians, without having been notified and with the sole excuse of Mr. Mateos that they have been past.

"We can also pass on supporting fundamental aspects," Sosa warned.

These jacarandas are not the only ones that are suffering from the inaction of this government team and the previous ones, because the trees classified as monumental and that are protected by law, completely lack the necessary attention and conservation, as can be verified when visiting the Rambla del Ortillo, where one of the centennial poplars has split due to lack of maintenance due.
