The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, holds a working meeting in Madrid this morning in the Ministry of Finance to discuss issues of interest to the municipality.

The mayor of Lorca has highlighted "the commitment of the current Local Government team to get the necessary financial resources to be disbursed for Lorca in matters of special importance to our municipality for what we hope to have the collaboration of the Government of Spain" and has listed some of the issues that will be put on the table such as "the 50 percent bonus of the IBI to those affected by the earthquakes; the remission of the state part of the late payment interest arising from the files for reimbursement of aid granted under protection of Royal-Decree Law 6/2011, the agreement of three million euros for the financing of works and services for the repair of infrastructure, equipment and services in districts ".

Diego José Mateos added that "this meeting will also address the inclusion of a budget item referring to the planned investments for the future Courthouse of Lorca, and the recovery of the Church of San Juan and the mural paintings of the Virgin Sanctuary of the Huertas. "

The First Edil has indicated that "in this meeting with the Secretary of State of the Treasury, Inés Bardón, and that of Infrastructure, Pedro Saura, and that it is scheduled for 1 pm, the Councilor for Finance, Isidro Abellán, and the national deputy, Marisol Sánchez Jódar ".

Mateos has been confident in the predisposition of the central government "for a satisfactory resolution of these issues raised by which we will fight until the end with the objective of achieving those commitments made with Lorca."
