El Paso Azul will welcome Christmas 2019 (17/12/2019)

With the Paje Real Cavalcade and the children's activities 'Christmas in the MASS', the children are again the protagonists of the wide program of activities that the Brotherhood has organized to enjoy these important dates.

The Brotherhood of Labradors, Paso Azul organizes a wide program of activities to celebrate Christmas and that is, once again, the Brotherhood wants to celebrate and share these lovely dates with children and adults through children's workshops;

the Solidarity Christmas Concert;

the recovery that the Young Group of the Blue Step realizes, after more than a decade, of the Bethlehem of the Brotherhood and that will be located in the Temporary Exhibition Hall of the Museum;

the Birth placed in the chapel of San Antonio of the church of San Francisco or the already traditional Cavalcade of the Paje Real.

The program of activities has been presented this morning by the President of the Paso Azul José María Miñarro, together with the president of the Association Virgen de los Dolores, Joaquina Gil, the president of the Paso Azul Foundation, María del Sagrario Corazón García, the director from the Blue Museum of Holy Week, Diana Murcia, the Councilor for Culture of the City of Lorca, María Ángeles Mazuecos, as well as a multitude of blues who wanted to be present in the announcement of the program.

The 'Blue Christmas' will begin next Thursday, December 19, at 8:00 p.m., with the lighting of the tree installed in the cloister of the Blue Museum of Holy Week.

The traditional Easter of the popular Peña La Jarapa will once again liven up this starting gun to a wide range of activities with which to celebrate Christmas.

On Saturday, December 21, starting at 1:30 p.m., the Christmas meal that the Brotherhood carries out every year in the Blue Pass ship will take place.

The event, by attending all the blues who wish, will be priced at 10 euros for adults and will be free for children under 12 years.

That same day, at 6:00 p.m., another of the activities already consolidated in the Christmas calendar of Lorca will be carried out since, in charge of the Mater Dolorosa Musical Group and the Paso Azul Choir, a new edition will be held of the Solidarity Christmas Concert whose ticket will be a toy that will be donated to the Red Cross.

The church of San Francisco will host this recital in which attendees will enjoy, as it could not be otherwise, the most popular carols.

The Blue Museum of Holy Week will once again host, after the successes harvested in all its previous editions, 'Christmas in the MASS', the event organized by the young members of GuiAzul and that every year they prepare several days with fun activities with which Our little ones learn a little more about a Holy Week as special as ours.

Specifically, there will be 6 workshops that will take place on December 23, 26 and 27 in two shifts: mornings from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and afternoons from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Participating children, between 5 and 10 years old, will enjoy tours of the Museum, the visit of the Royal Page or create their own Roman armor.

Places are limited, so it is recommended to enroll, already open, before December 22 at the Museum itself.

On January 3, the Paje Real will return to Lorca through the Young Group of the Blue Step, in a spectacular ride that will depart at 19:30 hours of the MASS to parade through the streets of the city.

During the activity, which has the collaboration of the Department of Culture and the Youth Council, the Royal Page, mounted on a dromedary, will be accompanied by his escort, the Nuria Periago Ballet Academy and the musical performances of the Mater Dolorosa Musical Group in an event full of surprises.

After the parade, the Royal Page will collect the letters for the Magi from the children of Lorca in the cloister of the MASS.

The President of the Blue Pass wanted to thank all the blues;

to the Paso Azul Foundation;

Mater Dolorosa Musical Group;

the Association of Our Lady of Sorrows;

to the Young Group of the Blue Step;

GuiAzul and the MASS, the will to work, one more year, in the programming that our Brotherhood puts in place to celebrate Christmas and "show again that we are a cultural and social reference in the city of Lorca".
