The Autonomous Community and the City of Lorca have agreed to extend the period of justification of the works and actions in various neighborhoods affected by the earthquake of 2011 in order to adjust it to the extension of the loan of the European Investment Bank (EIB) obtained by the Regional Administration
The agreement is reflected in an agreement proposed by the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure that today has approved the Plenary session of the Lorca and that next week is expected to be ratified by the Governing Council.
The Secretary General of the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure, Enrique Ujaldón, explained that this agreement agreed by both administrations allows the renewal of the deadlines for execution and justification of the works until June 30, 2022.
"The objective we pursue is the conclusion of the reconstruction of Lorca," said Enrique Ujaldón, who indicated that the neighborhoods included in this agreement are mainly those of Santa Quiteria, San Cristóbal, Eulogio Periago, Juan Carlos I Avenue, San Fernando and involve a total investment close to 42 million euros.
