"Looting in Zarzadilla de Totana and the industrial estate" (14/01/2020)

Mª Belén Pérez: "This wave of robberies is not fought with" WhatsApp groups "or asking the neighbors to point to license plates, but returning to the districts the 40 policemen who have removed from their streets. PLEASE ask that they do it NOW ".

The Councilor for Citizen Security in the City of Lorca by the Popular Party, María Belén Pérez, has informed that the decision of the current mayor to suppress the surveillance of the Local Police in the Lorca districts is still paid by the Lorca, since the wave of robberies that denounced the neighbors last week adds a new series perpetrated last Saturday, day in which up to 3 properties were looted.

In this case the affected district has been Zarzadilla de Totana, as well as the Saprelorca estate.

The neighbors themselves affected by this wave of insecurity in the high districts have moved us that weeks ago they demanded that the current mayor recover the police presence in these deputations.

They did so after verifying that, verbatim, "the Local Police can no longer be seen here," a fact to which they requested solutions to avoid security incidents.

However, and despite the fact that these claims were a clamor among the neighbors, no measures were taken from the current local government.

In fact, not even against the robberies committed during the last days of the year also in the high districts.

We share the concern of our neighbors.

We had a security model that worked and it has been loaded until we get a security that shines by its absence.

The experiments, that do them in their houses and with soda, but that do not screw up with a subject as delicate as citizen security.

The neighbors are abandoned to their fate by the negligence and stubbornness of the current mayor to remove the local police from our districts.

From the Popular Party we are obliged to continue denouncing the total ineffectiveness of the current mayor.

This issue has gotten completely out of hand, but it seems that they do not care, since in the face of the demands of the neighbors they only offer indolence and resignation.

We will not stand idly by while the current mayor disregards the problems of insecurity and the local government is hiding, but we will always be next to the neighbors, denouncing the recklessness of leaving the neighborhood neighbors without any police Keep an eye on its streets.

Last week, unfortunately, we had to report the commission of several robberies with force on things and looting, and we demanded that the current mayor rectify his clumsy decision to suppress the presence of the Local Police in the districts.

We said that we were very afraid that the neighbors could suffer the consequences again, and so it has been.

We already denounced last October that his decision to dismantle the presence of the Local Police in our districts would have consequences.

The consequences of this security cut are the sole and direct responsibility of the current mayor.

We give them our extended hand again, to see if they realize that what really matters is Lorca, they lose pride and are able to learn from experience.

If they don't rectify this, it will get worse.

Belén Pérez has said that the current local government has left the security of the districts completely uncovered, and their homeless neighbors.

We have talked with those affected, and they are outraged, they feel abandoned and deceived, and they do not understand why a security model has been changed that offered good results for another that has abandoned them to their fate.

It is an aberration that at night not a single Local Police officer patrolling our districts.

This situation, denounced even by the union CC.OO.

at the time, it is already well known by the friends of others, and they are taking advantage of the chaos they are causing in terms of security.
