The festivities staged one of the presentations of our city yesterday at the International Tourism Fair with the presentation of the poster, by Marien Muñoz and J. David Ponce.
The Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, and the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Tourism Francisco Morales, unveiled yesterday at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) that, these days in the Spanish capital, the poster of the patron's celebrations is celebrated from Lorca, San Clemente 2020.
In a contest called by the Youth Association of the San Clemente Federation, Patron of Lorca, whose jury is made up of components of the Youth Association, the Brotherhood San Clemente, the Federation itself and technicians of the Department of Tourism of the City of Lorca, was winner the project presented by Marien Muñoz and J.David Ponce.
The authors of the poster have indicated that their intention is to "preserve the more traditional side of the festivities, while giving color and liveliness, which conveys the will to keep our history and our origins alive. The main element is the Patron, around which our holidays of Moors, Christians and Jews revolve ".
In the poster stand out the staff, which acts as a central axis for its fit, given its shape, with the "c" of San Clemente.
In the same way, the authors highlight having wanted to pay a small tribute to the Lorca embroiders by including the new pontifical layer released last year.
The work also makes clear the importance of the confluence of the three cultures in our history, including their symbols.
As a detail, the authors have incorporated, in the form of carving in the frame behind the Pattern, a crucial phrase by Alonso Fajardo.
In his announcement in Madrid, the mayor of Lorca Diego José Mateos and the vice mayor Francisco Morales, were confident that "the next Fiestas de San Clemente 2020 will be an attraction that will increase the enjoyment of Lorca with their parties and traditions, as well as an even greater claim for the visitor to our city.
