The councilor of the Municipal Municipal Group in the City of Lorca, María Belén Pérez, said that what Mr. Mateos has done is a cacicada like the cup of a pine.
They are trying to restrict the freedom of debate in the Plenary Session of the City Council, in a dictatorial gesture, a direct consequence of the solitude in which they are plunged.
Mr. Mateos' reaction is a demonstration of disability.
As they are incapable of assuming that others do reach the agreements that they cannot, they take a tantrum, they sulk and try to break the deck with the sole objective of avoiding the necessary debate of this budget modification.
We must remind you that we are not going to allow you to govern here "by decree" and imposition.

Go ahead that at no time the municipal political groups were advised that a proposal for budgetary modification was going to be fully implemented, however, on Monday Mr. Mateos was dispatched to the media announcing such a measure.

This proposal for modification was hidden from the political groups until the last moment because they intended to approve it "through the back door", including exclusively the issues that they themselves wanted and without accepting any contribution.

This means, in effect, that the opposition is having to govern.
It is ridiculous that Mr. Abellán has complained precisely about that, that we are "trying to govern from the opposition", on top of which we are doing the work that they should have done.
You should thank us instead of lashing out at everything and everyone.
Following this chronology, this question was discussed yesterday in the Municipal Administration Commission, within the Special Accounts Commission, at point 5 of the agenda.
We must regret that Mr. Mateos was still closed to the dialogue and without trying to agree anything.
When he found that he did not have the support to move his proposal forward, he wanted to remove it from the full agenda, a claim rejected by the opposition groups.
Faced with this "stir", instead of talking to reach consensus, they close again in band, criticize us publicly, and Mr Mateos imposes the authoritarian and absolutist decision to remove from the full agenda this modification of the budget, something of what we found out when we are notified of the Order of the Plenary Day, about 3 pm yesterday.
He did not warn anyone and, again in the afternoon, Mr. Abellán attacks the political groups with whom he should be negotiating.
If Mr. Mateos' response has been appalling, that of his current Councilor for Finance only deepens his demonstrated incompetence to agree.
