The councilors of IU-Verdes Lorca, Pedro Sosa and Gloria Martín will present this morning a motion of urgency in the Plenary session with which they pretend that the announcements made by the Mayor, Diego José Mateos, for the Barrio de San Cristóbal are not approved. the PAI of La Paca or the archaeological site of the castle.

These actions declined after the Mayor withdrew the item on the budget modification that he did not negotiate with the opposition groups, especially with IU-Verdes, from which he obtained the necessary support to be invested.

This last formation presented an amendment to modify the proposal of the government team that went through shielding the social policies that were intended to be cut, eliminate superfluous spending as an item of 80,000 euros in advertising and introduce improvements to the Mayor's proposal and incorporate other items in neighborhood demands response.

Sosa and Martín, who attributed this Mateos maneuver to a "pataleta", have decided to "try again" and, therefore, will present this urgent motion.

"We want sanity to prevail and therefore we propose a proposal that would maintain the shadow in the Sacred Heart school, the conditioning of the archaeological site of the castle and the departure for the Point of Attention to Children of La Paca."

If the initiative of IU-Greens goes ahead, it would also be possible to extend the heading for the UA-23 to € 220,400.5, “because we do not want only the green zone, but we intend to start the management work of that block, where the new health center for the neighborhood should go �.

In addition, credit would be transferred to buy and install lift chairs in the municipal pool of La Torrecilla (5,000 euros) and to collaborate with the Association of producers and processors of aromatic plants in the creation of the quality brand "Highlands" (2,000 euros ).

On the security in the Neighborhood and its area of ​​influence, the proposal will serve to create in this area a new “Neighborhood Police� unit with four agents, endowed with 172,800 euros.

"We believe that the agents have to be on the street, not in a rental room that will not have enough security measures with the 25,000 euros that the mayor wanted to invest there," explained Sosa and Martin.

In addition, for the start-up of that barracks, agents of other services should be taken away, worsening security in other neighborhoods and districts.

"It's not about removing others to reinforce the neighborhood, but about creating new places for this area."

In this regard, Sosa demanded that the PSOE and C's execute the planned game in the budgets carried out to create another ten places.
