The Spokesman of the Municipal Municipal Group in the City of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has requested the inclusion in the agenda of the Mesa del Casco Histórico the consideration and feasibility analysis of the new project presented in society by the merchant of Lorca Mari Quiñonero last October.

We are talking about a project of commercial revitalization and urban regeneration of the historic center of Lorca, with a solvent technical support, and that we also know that it has been presented to the municipal groups of the City Council in successive meetings.

From our municipal group we are clear that the long-awaited revitalization of the historic center of Lorca requires a collective effort and is everyone's job: social and economic agents, political groups, regional government and citizenship in general.

In recent months there have been important advances, such as the declaration of the rehabilitation of our historic center as a performance of priority interest and the constitution of the work table, promoted jointly by President Fernando López Miras and the business sector of Lorca.

We must add the launch of the Casa del Artesano, a project designed and carried out by the Popular Party, both regionally and locally.

We cannot forget the important efforts made by the different government teams of the Popular Party in the last 12 years, which are the germ and the basis of the social and commercial revitalization of the historic center that we now seek.

We are committed to the urban renewal and services of countless streets in the neighborhoods of San Juan, Santa María and San Pedro, construction of the large women's park in the surroundings of San José de Calasanz, rehabilitation of the high churches, urban renewal of the Plaza de España, Plaza del Caño, Plaza del Ibreño, Plaza de la Curia, Abad de los Arcos, maintenance of the construction project for the new judicial offices in Selgas Street ...

Following this line of action and work, based precisely on the participation of all in a project as ambitious as desired, and once this proposal is known, we believe that it should be given due attention and consideration, taking into account the current moment, conducive to a definitive impulse to the long-awaited recovery of our baroque and monumental jewel, thanks to the commitment acquired by our president Fernando López Miras, to involve the government of the Region of Murcia in such an ambitious task.

In the current context, it is important to take into account all opinions and initiatives, especially those formulated by social and economic agents such as CECLOR, which has promoted this new stage in an outstanding way, the Chamber of Commerce, cultural groups, professionals and others , and of course, also those of civil society, like the one that concerns us now, joining efforts from the agreement and consensus of all.
