Antonia Ródenas, Pedro Ramos and Javier Ruiz participate this week in the 'Meetings with author' program organized by the Municipal Library Network (02/03/2020)

Up to 600 schoolchildren will participate this week in the program to promote reading through talks between renowned writers and students of schools in Lorca.

The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Antonia Pérez, has reported on the next three writers visits to the 'Meetings with Author' initiative organized by the Municipal Library Network.

Pérez explained that "this week there will be three writers who will visit Lorca to participate in the program of 'Meetings with Author' enjoyed by schoolchildren in our city with the aim of promoting the habit of reading in them."

The Edil has indicated that "tomorrow, March 3, about 150 Infant Education schoolchildren from Ana Caicedo, San Francisco de Asís and Villaespesa Schools will talk with the writer Antonia Ródenas who will talk about her book 'What a mess tomorrow! '

in the city's Children's and Youth Library, located on the third floor of the Cultural Center. "

"Antonia Rodenas is a graduate in Teaching and, currently, teaches at the Els Xiquets Infant School in Alicante and combines her work with literary creation aimed at children. In addition, her work 'On tiptoe' was awarded the second prize of the I International Contest of Illustrated Album City of Alicante 2001 ".

Pérez Segura explained that "on Thursday, March 5, Lorca Pedro Ramos will visit with his book 'The beach of the crystals'. Around 300 students of second and third year of Secondary Education will attend the talk in the auditorium at the Cultural center".

"Writer, poet and screenwriter, Pedro Ramos graduated in Geology from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is a member of the European Association of Literary Creativity Programs and, currently, directs Polisemias the only space in Galicia, where he lives, dedicated to teach creative writing workshops. "

"Javier Ruiz Taboada, born in Toledo in 1962, is a radio writer and journalist at Onda Cero. He is fond of photography and painting, has made several exhibitions of his work in different cities. Antonia Pérez has announced that "next week the writer Leticia Cotas will visit us on March 10 and 11, Rafa Salmerón on March 11 and Diego Arboleda on March 13".
