The City Council still does not take a single measure of its own, despite the fact that all the municipalities are doing so.
Águilas, Puerto Lumbreras, Murcia, Cartagena ... have already established their own local plans, but Lorca has not, and this despite the fact that last Tuesday we already proposed a series of initiatives that should have been implemented automatically.
From the PP we are going to continue working with total institutional loyalty, because to overcome this situation we have to be united.
It is evident that people need the help of their City Council, and the social and tax decisions that this crisis requires had already been taken.
We cannot afford to be late, the City Council has to react now and offer the entire Lorca society the measures it is waiting for.
Throughout these days we continue working together with the people of Lorca, and we know that business groups, self-employed, hoteliers and SMEs want to know what is going to be done in Lorca.
They have seen that other municipalities have already implemented their action plans, and they do not understand what is happening in our city.
We, despite the departure of tone that the current mayor had last Tuesday when we moved our proposals, we will continue to put on the table the solutions that people need.
Our help and support are being loyal and committed, so we encourage you to overcome political differences and act as all citizens are expecting.
The situation does not admit political discrepancies, but the union of all and the understanding to get ahead.
We have to cover all citizens, with special attention to small businesses, autonomous companies and the catering sector.
The battery of municipal measures that we propose would include, among others, the following:
Bonus for receipts for drinking water and garbage, to all those businesses or individuals who request it.
Establishment of car seal bonuses, fords and IBI until the end of the year.
To study the possibility of expanding the bonuses established in the Social Water Bonus to include merchants and hoteliers in their coverage.
Water and garbage rate reduction for companies and / or businesses affected by the effects of this situation caused by the coronavirus.
Discount of 90% of the rates and taxes established for establishments with terraces, such as bars and cafes.
Exemption from the payment of the fee to the vendors of squares and markets that have not had the opportunity to reopen their usual positions, and study of extraordinary markets once the virus alert has been sent.
IBI drop in the municipal coefficient for families with economic difficulties, as well as companies, businesses and establishments that suffer declines in income due to the effects of the coronavirus.
Refund of fees and public prices of services not provided by the city council due to the current restrictions: swimming pools, sports centers, plastic arts school, nurseries, among others.
Fiscal reduction of the Economic Activities Tax (IAE) for local companies that suffer losses as a result of this emergency situation.
From the PP we propose that the Lorca City Council, as other municipal councils are already doing in different cities, must consider that the properties intended for leisure and hospitality and commercial uses are of special interest or municipal utility due to employment circumstances.
For this reason, as long as local companies guarantee that they will maintain the employment of the entire workforce, we propose that they should be entitled to a 25% real property tax (IBI) discount.
Fulgencio Gil has transferred his encouragement and full support to all the municipal workers and the Aguas de Lorca and Limusa companies who are carrying out their work with great effort and for the good of all Lorca, despite the difficult circumstances that we face. we face.
From the PP we appeal to the general population to support the work being carried out by our bodies and state security forces, along with the Local Police, the Fire Department and the Municipal Emergency Service, among other entities.
Together, by complying with the established recommendations, we can contribute to this work.
