The Department of Sports launches the # MuéveteencasaLorca project to facilitate the sports practice of the people of Lorca (23/03/2020)

The sports technicians of CD Felipe VI will be in charge of posting every day on the website, through links to the YouTube channel 'MuéveteencasaLorca', the different videos with the activities aimed at so that everyone can do them from home.

The councilor for Sports of the Lorca City Council, Irene Jódar, reported this morning on the new # muéveteencasa program, launched from this management area due to the closure of all sports facilities to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and which will be in force on the days of confinement.

The mayor of Sports explained that "this initiative, which is based on the website http://deportes.lorca.es/mueveteencasa/, is addressed to the entire population free of charge, so that during the period of confinement in home as a measure to contain thecovid19, citizens can have a tool that guides and motivates them to do physical activity from home with the space and means available. "

Irene Jódar has detailed that "these activities designed for the different population groups are directed by the sports technicians of the Felipe VI Sports Complex.

The councilor stressed that "this # muéveteencasase program is presented as an online adaptation of some of the sports programs that were being provided by the City Council through the Sports and Mayor Councils, both in sports facilities, as well as in neighborhood centers and districts.

Jódar Pérez explained that "a weekly planning has been drawn up with daily activities for all audiences and ages, from activities for the elderly, maintenance gymnastics, muscle strengthening due to levels of difficulty, activities such as gap, zumba, pilates, intensity trainig, Body Health, Cardio Box, among others, also for the little ones such as zumba kids or exercises to do with the family, which combine sport and games. "

The mayor added that "the CD Felipe VI sports technicians will be in charge of posting each day on the website through links to a YouTube channel, the different videos with the activities directed so that everyone can do them from home."

And to facilitate the viewing of content for the majority of the population, the platform used will be a YouTube channel #mueveteencasaLorca, and on this website the videos that this channel will broadcast will also be linked.

In addition, a live consultation channel has been set up, which will be carried out by the technician who coordinates the CD Felipe VI Sports Advisory Cabinet, Juan Miguel Méndez, who will attend live, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with any queries related to physical activity and will also respond directly to queries on this aspect and give healthy advice that users can go through a contact form on the web.

This new web portal has been developed between the Departments of Sports and the Information Society, thus creating work synergies between both services, in addition to the contents of physical activities for the Third Age that have been created in collaboration with the Department of the Elderly. .

Finally, the councilor recalled that "from the City Council it is recommended to all the population to practice regular physical activity in your homes during this period of confinement, that we hope it is the least possible."
