The Department of Youth launches, through their social networks, the artistic and solidarity contest #LorcaJovenEnCasa (28/03/2020)

Photos, videos, drawings, micro-stories and performances, all strictly from home, will be a typology of artistic expressions that participate in a contest that bets on the abilities of the young people of Lorca, also in difficult situations, demonstrating their great social conscience.

The Councilor for Youth of the City of Lorca, José Ángel Ponce, has announced the launch of an art and solidarity contest for young people to be held indoors, under the title #LorcaJovenEnCasa.

Ponce explained that "in these moments of exceptionality, in which each of us is called to change our life habits and stay at home, from the Department of Youth we want to create a community space in which we can share and count our lives everyday and our emotions in the time of the coronavirus. In short, transforming a difficult moment into an opportunity to stay together, even if we are at a distance, in a creative and supportive way. "

The Edil has detailed "we have devised the #LorcaJovenEnCasa contest, an initiative with which we propose to our young people in the municipality an activity for these days at home. It is about creating videos, with a maximum duration of 30 seconds; taking photos; drawing; writing micro-stories, to carry out musical performances or any other form of self-produced artistic expression that will end on April 15 or the day the health emergency ends. "

Ponce Díaz has indicated that "participating is very easy. Make your creation, the theme will have to coincide with the historical moment that we live in a respectful way towards others and everything should be strictly indoors, upload it to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and Publish it using the hashtag #LorcaJovenEnCasa. From the Facebook page of the Department of Youth, @juventudlorca, you can track the contest and the person who gets the most 'likes' on this social network will become the winner. "

The Youth Councilor has remarked that "the objective of this contest, whose bases are already published on the website www.lorcajoven.es, is to create a great virtual place to meet and share, to consolidate the foundations of our community by looking beyond the emergency. We talked about building with young people the history of these difficult days, a collective archive that will remain and in which everyone will be able to recognize themselves in the future and, when the emergency is over, the Department will organize a public event to reward the 'jobs' that have received the most social interactions and celebrate it all together. "

José Ángel Ponce has revealed that "we continue to bet on our young people, also in difficult times such as this health crisis, because we also fully trust them, their solidarity, responsibility and social awareness."
