The Department of Tourism promotes an even more different Easter (01/04/2020)

The councilors Francisco Morales and José Luis Ruiz Guillén announce a Holy Week that will transfer "the Career" of Juan Carlos I to the homes of all the people of Lorca, who will also become protagonists of it.

The Deputy Mayor of Lorca and Councilor for Tourism, Francisco Morales and the Councilor for Holy Week, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, have announced the initiative of the Department of Tourism that began on March 22 for a Holy Week that will take place under this peculiar situation of confinement in our homes.

In a communicative video, to watch over the recommendations of the health authorities to replace the traditional press conferences, the two councilors have detailed the initiative of the Department of Tourism that will be developed with the indispensable collaboration of the Lorca guilds, as well as local television 'ComarcalTV'.

The Councilor for Tourism has stated that "due to the exceptional situation of confinement we live in, we were forced to suspend the traditional way in which our Easter takes place every year, but that did not have to mean that we Lorca had to to be without Easter, so from Turismo de Lorca we started to offer an alternative to live and enjoy our processions as a family, from home, to the people of Lorca "

Thus, on March 22, from the social networks of the Department of Tourism, the new strategy to follow for Easter 2020 was announced, announcing that it will be more different than ever and virtual.

In this way, the councilors of Tourism and Easter, once again remember this initiative launched and encourage all Lorca and lovers of our Easter to continue putting it into practice.

For his part, the councilor for Easter, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, has stated that "this Easter will be different, more different than ever, but there is no doubt that the people of Lorca will know how to transform the situation into something positive as well as unheard of, live Easter from home with the passion and momentum that characterizes us. "

In addition, Ruiz Guillén has appealed to prudence and respect for the established rules to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, circumscribing this initiative exclusively to the private home, not taking it to the street under any circumstances or to the common areas of the buildings or roofs.

From the first moment in which the circumstances related to the celebration of Easter changed, the Department of Tourism contacted the different brotherhoods of our town to coordinate all the actions that they planned to carry out, and that would serve to complete the official program of Easter.

They also added to this project the initiative of the ComarcalTV television to retransmit all the events related to Easter in order to join efforts and coordinate some of the most relevant actions in the same project, serving the Department of Vehicle and Boost Tourism to them.

"# PasiónEnCasa" is the label with which Tourism intends, on the one hand to structure all the actions that they are going to carry out together with the Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of the City, as well as to encourage Lorca to be creative and share their passion from their homes.

Francisco Morales has indicated that the campaign is structured around two actions: "On the one hand we are going to make a" virtual program "of our Easter on social networks. The Department of Tourism is going to follow the program of the festivals by publishing the events highlights of Holy Week through 13 videos between 30 and 40 seconds long that serve as a claim for the most outstanding acts, such as serenades, processions, etc., and that will link to the broadcasts of last Easter that ComarcalTv is going to issue. To this program we will add the alternative acts and actions that the Lorca guilds have planned for this exceptional year. "

This virtual program can be downloaded from the website lorcaturismo.es and will be published in the official accounts of the Department of Tourism on social networks, which will also publish the corresponding acts every day.

On the other hand, "as we have seen during all these days, the people of Lorca are going to live their Holy Week at home, as a family, with that different passion that characterizes us and for this we want to channel all the images, videos, or resources that lorquinos believe in their homes through the hashtag # PasiónEnCasa in order to share it with lorquinos and also show their particular passion abroad. To enhance this action, the images and videos that have the most views, tweets or likes will be awarded with chairs for the boxes next year, free guided visits to the embroidery museums of our brotherhoods, or audiovisual material of our processions, "Morales said.

The campaign organized by Turismo de Lorca aims to give a positive twist to the famous phrase "The procession goes inside" due to the situation we are experiencing due to the confinement generated as a result of COVID-19.

The image that accompanies this project represents a community of neighbors in the middle of Easter.

The facade, in the color of the albero that is placed every year in the course of "La Carrera", shows inside the windows typical silhouettes of our processions: religious images, Nazarenes, Romans and horses, symbols that unite all the lorquina brotherhoods.

The architectural style of the building is inspired by some of the houses on Corredera Street, which make it recognizable and close to all Lorca residents.

To finish, on the one hand, a bright sign crowns the facade with the slogan of the campaign, and on the other, we visualize a roof terrace full of handkerchiefs hanging from all the brotherhoods of Lorca.
