The mayor will discuss tomorrow the economic consequences of the health crisis with business agents and unions through a videoconference (06/04/2020)

Diego José Mateos insists that "from the City Council we will be sensitive to the economic consequences that this pandemic is causing, but the priority continues to be to avoid the spread of the virus and make the situation of confinement more bearable."

The Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, will hold a meeting tomorrow Tuesday, April 7, with business agents and unions with whom he will discuss the current situation of the health crisis, as well as the economic consequences that it is causing in the business sector.

The Mayor of Lorca has explained that this is a meeting, which as the security measures of the decree of the state of alarm mark us, will be held through videoconference and in which union representatives, the Chamber of Commerce and the Lorca Regional Confederation of Business Organizations (CECLOR), as well as the Deputy Mayor, Francisco Morales and the Councilor for Finance and Contracting, Isidro Abellán ".

"

Mateos has insisted that "from the City Council we will be sensitive to these consequences, but for the moment the priority remains to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and make the situation of confinement more bearable, for them we have been applying various measures in recent days."

Lastly, the First Councilor has indicated that "this health crisis is going to entail an economic crisis, without a doubt, for which from the City Council we are going to apply all those measures that are in our hands to help and try to alleviate the economic effects, although It must be recognized that the maneuvering power of the municipalities in this regard is quite limited, they are issues that depend on the Autonomous Community, the State and Europe, towards which many are already pointing, since it is a pandemic that must be also face from the economic point of view at a global level ".
