Initiative for the little ones to enjoy Lorca's Easter at home through drawings and crafts (07/04/2020)

'Semana Santa de Lorca en recortable', this is the name of the activity that the mayor of Youth encourages young Lorca and their families to share their artistic creations through social networks: "using the hashtag #LorcaJovenEnCasa, for each creation we will donate one euro to the solidarity account for the purchase of sanitary material against the coronavirus ".

The Councilor for Youth of the City of Lorca, José Ángel Ponce, has presented 'Semana Santa de Lorca recortable', a new initiative for boys and girls to enjoy, from home and with the family, the most different Easter week in Lorca.

Ponce explained that "although this year we cannot enjoy the greatness of our Easter on the street, no virus is going to take away from us and the little ones the illusion, the feeling and the passion for our colors Blue, White, Incarnate , Purple, Black and Risen ".

For this reason, from the Department of Youth and in collaboration with the youth groups of our brotherhoods and the Youth Council of Lorca we want to promote this initiative with which, through crafts, boys and girls enjoy these days to the fullest possible".

"Taking advantage of these days without class and, to continue fostering the creativity of the little ones, without leaving home, we make available to everyone various proposals for crafts to do with the family and using simple materials that we can usually find in our homes" .

"With colored paper, cardboard, felt or glue, and following the instructions, you can easily and fun make nazarenes with fofuchos and rubber, thrones with shoe boxes or paper hoods."

The Youth Councilor has detailed that "continuing with the ongoing 'Art at Home' campaign, by sharing the creations on social networks with the hashtag #LORCAJOVENENCASA a euro will be donated to the solidarity account of the Lorca City Council and, in addition, When the health emergency ends, a public event will be organized to recognize the works that have received the most social interactions and celebrate it all together and also incorporate it into the proposal of 'Passion at Home', of the Department of Tourism, celebrate Easter from our balconies ".

José Ángel Ponce has highlighted that "the 'Easter in cutout' is one more activity that is included in the diversity of initiatives that the City of Lorca have launched to make a little more bearable these days in which Lorca and Lorca can not celebrate our long-awaited Easter. "

From the City of Lorca remember that "the idea is that people can decorate their homes, hang their designs on the balcony, share their creations on social networks and make it visible that we are celebrating Easter in Lorca."
