The Councilor for Health of the City of Lorca, José Ángel Ponce, has announced the launch of the International Beach Volleyball Center as accommodation for toilets in Area 3.
Ponce explained that "yesterday, the first professionals of Lorca's health were housed in the International Beach Volleyball Center of our municipality, located a few meters from the Rafael Méndez University Hospital."
The mayor has detailed that "the Ministry of Health has accepted the proposal of the Lorca council made, from the first moment of the start of the health crisis, with the aim of guaranteeing the safety of the families of health professionals who, daily , take care of patients with coronavirus â€.
Ponce Díaz has indicated that "management now passes to the management of Health Area 3, which will be in charge of referring those professionals who request this type of accommodation to the center."
The Councilor for Health thanked "the collaboration of the Spanish Volleyball Federation for the transfer of its facilities during this health emergency," as well as the Murcian Health Service that is responsible for both cleaning and disinfection and the safety of the infrastructure".
José Ángel Ponce has reiterated to the Ministry "the offer of the rest of the municipal facilities both for health professionals and for patients with Covid-19 who need special isolation conditions for their recovery."
